MV Guide: July 18-24, 2011

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively's Livestream channel.

Every week, the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of games to take a look at. During Livestream events, you can participate in the live chat to learn about the game, ask questions, and spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, Livestream events are subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)

Monday, 1:00 p.m. EDT: Shawn -- Need For Speed World
Join Shawn this week as he races his way around Need For Speed World, showing off the game's features and what makes it a (kinda massively) multiplayer game. He'll show off vehicle customization, the different race types (Pursuit is his favorite!), the game's equivalent of a skill bar, and more!

Monday, 3:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Puppet Guardian
This week Beau will be showing off the freak show MMOs he talked about in his column. Let's start it off with Puppet Guardian, an odd MMO that asks players to roll dice to move... among other things.

Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- A Mystical Land
Beau uses Tuesdays to stream his Rise and Shiny game, and this time around he'll be streaming this cool browser-based social game. There is combat, but the game centers around crafting and gathering. Should be pretty cool!

Tuesday, 7 p.m. EDT: Brandon -- Star Trek Online
Hang out with Brandon for an evening full of Star Trek Online as he shows off more changes that came to the game with the launch of Season Four: Crossfire. Also, feel free to join in on the chat through the Livestream site and give him requests on what you would like to see. If you happen to be around in-game and want to team up with him, send an invite to @bfelczer.

Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Horse Isle
You heard Beau mention it before, but now let's see it in action! Horse Isle puts players on a post-apocalyptic world of cars, booze and... OK, OK, not really. You collect and raise horses. So, let's check it out.

Thursday, 7:00 p.m. EDT: Jeremy -- Runes of Magic
The event-guild [Mveventful] is chugging along and is up to ten members now. Woot! Join Jeremy as he shows off some guild-leader functionality including how to place new buildings, set member permissions, control access to the guild vault and more. If you're a member and in-game, screenshots will be taken.

Friday, 3:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Secondhand Lands
Ah, freaky freaky fairy tales. Who loves them? Beau does. Join him as he frolics, murders and howls his way through the crazy world of Secondhand Lands.

Saturday, 3:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Gods and Heroes
It looks like Saturdays are the days that Beau takes us on longer journeys through different landscapes. This week he's touring the world of Gods and Heroes... here's hoping the estate system will show up on the stream!
