MV Guide

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively's Livestream channel.

Every week, the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of titles to take a look at. During livestream events, you can participate in the live chat, ask questions to learn about the game, and simply spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, livestream events are subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)


Monday, 5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- TibiaME
It's mobile week for Beau this week. He's decided to kick things off with a little game called TibiaME, a game that is known for its phone-based client but now has a web client as well. Beau will be playing the web client to keep streaming simple.

Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Crystal Saga
Cool! Another game that can be run right within your browser. This Flash-based MMO just launched into open beta, so Beau will be covering it all week for his Rise and Shiny column. You know what that means... he streams it on Tuesday!

Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. EDT: Patrick -- Champions Online
Before Aftershock, there was the Serpent Lantern, an ill-fated attempt of VIPER to rein in control of their own organization. SL features some of the toughest solo battles in Champions Online! Patrick takes you into the three bunkers protecting VIPER's main headquarters this week.

Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Illyriad
You've heard Beau rave about this game, so come see why. OK, OK, so it won't be an action filled slugfest,, but he'll explain just why he loves it so much. It runs on any device that has a browser, thanks to HTML5!

Thursday, 5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Starjack Online
Who knows what Beau will find in this brand new universe? He's going to log in and make his way into the cold abyss, all for your enjoyment. 4X, they call it? He'll probably die four times in the first four minutes.

Thursday, 10pm EDT: Brandon -- Star Trek Online
Hang out with Brandon for a special evening edition of our Star Trek Online livestream series as he continues leveling his new Klingon Engineer toon, a Gorn name Thwack. Also, feel free to join in on the chat through the Livestream site and give him requests on what you would like to see. If you happen to be around in-game and want to team up with him, send an invite to @bfelczer.

Friday, 5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Outer Empires
This is another game that can be played either on your phone or through your browser, all in the same persistent universe. Beau will try to explain his way through this mini-EVE Online, but be warned that he is still a noob. He might just get killed a lot.

Sunday, noon EDT: Brandon -- Magic: The Gathering Online
Tune in as we continue our journey through The Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering Online. Watch as Brandon continues PvPing against other players from around the world who unleash spells they have gathered along their journey. While watching, feel free to join in the chatroom to ask your questions about the game. And if you happen to have a MTGO account, email him for a friendly duel!
