The Queue: Ancient memes for ancient connections

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Yes, that's right. I moved to California, land of actual broadband internet, leaving my dial-up and horrible mobile broadband far behind. Are you excited? I'm excited. I'm downloading games from Steam at 2MB/s. Do you know how long it took me to download stuff like that before? And how much I had to pay for it? Don't get me started, people.

Josh asked:

Did curse.com and MMO-Champion.com get hacked like the other gaming sites?

They've reported that they're working through a hardware failure, not a security issue, so it doesn't appear that they've been hacked. We like Curse and we hope everything is back up and running soon!

RubyPhoenix asked:

Will the Dark Phoenix Mount have all new requirments come patch 4.2. For example, will we have to defeat Firelands in Heroic mode? If not what is happening to the mount?

The Dark Phoenix does not currently require heroic kills to unlock or purchase, and there's been no indication that those requirements will change.

Anjeney asked:

When patch 4.2 drops will guild leaders be able to transfer their guild with them to a new server?

Looks pretty unlikely for patch 4.2, given that there was no sign of it on the PTR and there's been no further announcement. Maybe for 4.3, if you're lucky.

Mistryder asked:

If Sylvanas is now able to raise beings from dead using her various methods, why don't we see undead trolls or draenei runnig around? Onenwould think that for someone who wants to keep her people alive that she would want to diversify her pool of candidates.

Sylvanas doesn't have the ability to raise the dead herself. She has val'kyr do it for her, and it's pretty clear through quest text that val'kyr can only (now, anyway) raise human corpses. It's a safe assumption they can still raise vrykul, but those are in short supply and not exactly in the neighborhood.
