World of Warcraft patch 4.3.2 64-bit client download and information [Updated x4]

As we posted earlier, Blizzard has released the information necessary to get the 64-bit client up and running with the live patch 4.3.2 servers.

Please remember that this 64-bit client is still in beta, even though you can play the live (non-PTR) game with it. This means that you might experience unexpected crashes and other bugs. Be sure that if you do experience them, you report them right away so Blizzard can fix everything up.

I've installed this live 64-bit client; however, there still seems to be a version validation error with the servers. This is probably a quick fix that Blizzard can take care of, and we're hopeful that everything will be solved soon.

Update 3:10 p.m. EST Blizzard pulled the download information from its support forums and posted a message saying that final preparations were being made and the client would be up soon. We're assuming this is due to the validation errors with the servers. We'll update this post when we know more. The download links and everything still work, however.

The 64 bit client for the live realms isn't ready to be used yet. For now, set the game to use the 32 bit client. This is done in the Game Preferences in the Launcher under Options at the top left of the Launcher screen.


Update 6:20 p.m. EST The 64-bit client will not be usable today, due to unforseen issues. We're leaving the original blue post with the download links up after the break.

Despite our best intentions and efforts, there are some unforseen issues preventing the 64 bit client from being made available at this time.

Omrakos (Support Forums) -- World of Warcraft 4.3.2 64 bit client
A 64-bit client is now available for use with Patch 4.3.2. Before being able to launch WoW in 64-bit mode you will need to download the 64-bit client for PC/Mac (using one of the links below), and unzip it into your World of Warcraft directory. Once you extract the files you can start the 64-bit client by opening the Launcher as normal (Run as Administrator if applicable), go intoOptions -> Game Preferences, and toggling the Launch 32-bit client setting.

**Important things to keep in mind** Additional System Requirements:
If you encounter any issues while using the 64-bit version, please report your findings in this thread and return to using the 32-bit executable. In order to facilitate support when contacting Technical Support, please inform them if you are using the 64 bit client.

To remove the 64-bit client completely, delete the following files from your World of Warcraft folder:

Windows
Battle.net-64.dll
MovieProxy.exe
WoW-64.exe

Mac
World of Warcraft-64.app

  • The 64-bit client is being distributed separately from the Retail version as it is not yet supported for use with World of Warcraft.

  • Launching the game in 64-bit mode can only be done after patching the game to version 4.3.2, downloading and extracting the necessary files.

  • The game's built in voice chat does not currently work when using the 64-bit client.

  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client does not currently support the in-game movie recording functionality.

  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client iTunes' Remote feature does not work at the present time.

  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client does not currently support the customized LCD display for the Logitech G15 series of keyboards.

  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client is currently not supported on 10.5 systems. You will need 10.6.8 or later for this version.

  • Windows XP Professional "x64 Edition" / 64-bit Windows Vista / 64-bit Windows 7 (latest service packs).

  • Mac OS 10.6.8 or newer.

  • Mac Computer with Core 2 Duo or better

  • 2 GB or more of RAM.
