NintendoWare Weekly: Bomb Monkey, Marvel Pinball, VVVVVV sale
This is not just a great week for the 3DS eShop, but it's an important one. Last weekend, Nintendo discounted Super Mario Land temporarily; this weekend's sale on VVVVVV proves that these limited-time discounts are an actual thing. For a digital Nintendo platform, two sales is a giant leap forward.
That discount is joined by a demo for Rhythm Thief, which appears to actually be coming out, and interesting new eShop games Bomb Monkey and Marvel Pinball 3D.
It's not so great for the Wii this week, with absolutely no releases of any kind on the Wii Shop, but it can't all be good news.
3DS eShop
Marvel Pinball 3D (Zen Studios, 1-4 players, $7.99): Four superhero-themed pinball tables.
Bomb Monkey (Renegade Kid, 1-2 players, $4.99): Set off bombs to cause chain-reaction explosions of same-color blocks in this falling block puzzler.
Demo: Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure (Sega, 1-2 players, free): A dashing thief solves mysteries in Paris, in a series of musical minigames.

DSiWare
Flip the Core (Engine Software, 1 player, $1.99/200 DSi Points): A side scrolling shooter in which you can freely rotate the screen on a horizontal axis.
Escape the Virus: Swarm Survival (Teyon, 1 player, $1.99/200 DSi Points): It appears to be a DSiWare version of Peakvox Viral Survival, under a different title, from a different publisher.
