Previously on MV TV: The week of June 30th

Previously On banner

This week was another stellar week in gaming, despite the fact that many of us in the Massively offices were busy spending our holiday on the beach, together, hugging and shooting fireworks and remembering old times. We have had this tradition for the last 17 years, back when many of us were only in our tweens. Ah, good times. Massively good times.

What's that? You missed some of these killer streams that we worked so hard to bring you? It's all right; just follow past the cut to catch up on some of the best moments from the week. Also, be sure to bookmark our livestream schedule to see what we are doing next! This week, we have playtime with Mike as he heads into the blackness of EVE Online and then braves the battlefields of World of Tanks. MJ takes over from there and plays some The Secret World, EverQuest II, and City of Heroes and sees some good times in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. Richie attacks stuff in the new MOBA SMITE, and I round things out by continuing to beat up the Gloam in Free Realms. Hurry up and die already so we can see the new area, Gloam!

EVE Online banner

This week in the EVE Online stream, Mike headed out into the black and blew up some NPC pirates. Find out what like is like for high-sec mission runners, especially those who fly missile boats and are highly reckless with their ships.

World of Tanks banner

This week's World of Tanks stream went better than the last, as Mike was able to successfully break his kill record and blow the living crap out of some enemy tanks. Watch as Mike goes from tank zero to tank hero in just under an hour and even wins a match for his adoring team.

The Secret World banner

Three times the fun! In three different streams this week, MJ showed off various aspects of the newly launched The Secret World. First up was character creation and the tutorial subway sequence, not to mention one blush-inducing moment. Next up came the basic steps to getting settled in her new skin: starting life in Seoul, checking out the different weapons, and moving on to meet some zombies face to face. The week wrapped up with questing in Kingsmouth, dead girl walking, and a quick look at a persistent PvP battleground. Watch and check out some of the various colorful characters and the incredible voice acting that bring flavor to the game.

EverQuest II banner

Just because an instance is lower-level and the mobs are kinda wimpy one-on-one to a chronomentored Fury doesn't mean that groups of them should be taken lightly! MJ proved that by continually pressing her luck while visiting the crypts and hidden caves in the beginning of The Bloodline Chronicles, EverQuest II's first major content update. Did her luck hold out? Watch and see.

City of Heroes banner

In a surprise (and evil) twist of events, MJ found that free players can't access the Mission Architect, so plans changed from pounding out player missions to settling on NPC ones. Check out what happens when Red Hairring follows Trueshot's suggestion and saunters back to check out the the new base. And keep an eye out for that Mission Architect raincheck!

Vanguard banner

What do you get when you mix brave viewers and MJ together in a dungeon group with sidewalk-turned-frying-pan heat? Apparently you get fun so hot it melts the stream! Watch as the trio heads into a giant spider cave near Veksal's and executes Order 66 Vanguard-style. That's right folks -- total extermination!

SMITE banner

Every time Richie plays SMITE, he channels Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty, raises his head to the sky, and screams: "Smite me, oh mighty smiter!" True story. It looks like Hi-Rez Studios might have a hit with its third-person perspective MOBA-style game. Join Richie this week as he plays two SMITE matches as Kali. Will his tongue-wagging, four-armed, severed head-carrying deity lead him to victory or that other outcome that's much less pleasant? Tune in to find out!

Free Realms banner

So there's this Gloam invasion happening in Free Realms right now. Our very own Karen Bryan wrote all about it in a recent column, and I've been busy trying to keep up with the live event madness. Sure enough, I finish up the quests and even get to see a tiny bit of the new area in this stream. Enjoy!

Did you miss Massively TV last week? Are you too busy to dig through a week's worth of video to get to the highlights? Never fear! We've done the work for you right here in Previously on MV TV, a roundup of epic battles, tragic deaths, and juicy outtakes from last week's livestreams.
