uTorrent beta app arrives on Android
Fans of the torrent-juggling desktop client can now get their downloads direct to their mobile device, because uTorrent's launched a beta app for any Android device running version 2.1 or higher. It's currently free, with RSS support, fully adjustable upload and download speeds and the ability to play games in the background as you wait for your files. There's currently no limit on download sizes either -- just so long as you can stomach the data charges.

µTorrent releases most lightweight version of the popular software client yet, a new beta client built for Android, as parent company BitTorrent Inc. approaches 4mm mobile users
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BitTorrent Inc., a globally-recognized creator of distributed technologies, today launched the official beta version of µTorrent for Android phones and tablets, the latest addition to a mobile product arsenal that is already reaching 3.8mm mobile users.

µTorrent Android is expected to be a top performer in BitTorrent's already impressive suite of mobile products, which include BitTorrent Android, and BitTorrent and µTorrent Remote; apps which enable users to manage torrents directly from Android or iOS devices. µTorrent Android is a native Android client that enables:
• Fast, easy on-the-go downloading of media
• No speed or size caps on downloads
• RSS subscriptions and instant access to content from the growing roster of A-list artists and content creators collaborating with BitTorrent Inc.
µTorrent Android is available in beta for free download via Google Play.

Users can download the µTorrent app to get access to their media, not to mention a slew of great content from the growing list of high profile artists and filmmakers who are choosing to work with BitTorrent Inc. In the last few months the company has worked with creators including Counting Crows, DJ Shadow, Chester French and Pharrell Williams, and most recently skateboarding legends Tony Hawk and Stacy Peralta, who released the cult 80s skateboarding film The Search for Animal Chin via BitTorrent last week. Earlier this month, the company also worked with the Internet Archive to make 1.5 million pieces of music, film and other media available through the BitTorrent ecosystem.
