Previously on MV TV: The week of July 7th
Ah, what a week for Massively's livestreaming crew. We spent a lot of time flying through space, attacking pirates on the sea, destroying monsters, and pretty much going through all levels of heck to bring you some fantastic live entertainment. It's a hard, wonderful job, but we're glad to do it. What's that? You say you missed a bunch of our wonderful streams because you were busy elsewhere? Well, we'll forgive you this time, but only if you bookmark our livestream guide and check back on it every so often to keep up with the new stuff! Here, allow me to recap just some of our best moments below.
We'll start with a bit of EVE Online and World of Tanks with Mike, then we'll move on to some SMITE with Richie. Piggy takes up some of The Secret World's newbie areas, followed by MJ with her EverQuest II, The Secret World and Aion streams. Overall, not a bad week! Just click past the cut, grab a pop and some Twizzlers, and you'll be good to go!
In this week's EVE Online stream, Mike equipped a basic PvP ship and went out into the black looking for a fight. Unfortunately, it turns out that "finding a fight" and "finding a fair fight" are two very different things in EVE Online. Tune in and see what happens when Mike's best-laid plans go horribly awry.
This week in World of Tanks, a viewer jumped into the game with Mike and helped him to not be so terrible. The result? Mike found out about artillery tanks and rained down damage from above on countless foes. Well, maybe not countless. Maybe four. Check it out -- there are explosions!
This week, Richie fought deities of various pantheons in SMITE during his two-hour show. He sliced and diced as the multi-armed Kali and thumped foes with a giant ice club as Ymir the frost giant. Despite his efforts, his win/loss percentage took quite a dip. But was there only the searing pain of defeat to be seen or did he get to sample the sweet nectar of victory? Watch the show to find out!
Do you like cliffhangers? Do you like anticipation? This week, Psykopig begins his journey into The Secret World. He takes us through making a character, choosing his weapons, and taking you through all the beginning vids! There is a bunch of newbie info that Psykopig imparts to us. Check it out to enjoy the antics this week in the sty!
Just call her The Crypt Hopper. While continuing to work through The Bloodline Chronicles for EverQuest II-sday, MJ had to travel between the D'Morte burial chamber and the Tomb of Night. At least this time she played a bit smarter and didn't bring the whole tomb down on her head! But in true MJ fashion, things can never go completely smoothly; there's nothing like hitting a snag at the very end of a dungeon.
All the talk of the town is about the unique investigation missions in The Secret World, and MJ tackled one with viewers. Watch MJ make a couple of wrong turns as she followed the clues in The Kingsmouth Code quest. Did she succeed in the end? Tune in and see.
Giving her Spiritmaster another go, MJ headed back to Asmodae and answered the call of someone wanting help with a campaign quest. During this adventure, MJ got to experience what it was like to be a newbie again, complete with impatient and pushy group members. Is that just the way of the game for lower levels starting out? Thankfully not, as the other members of the PUG restore faith that there are still kind-hearted folks willing to lend a hand.
