The Queue: Brush and brush and brush and brush my hair

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Today is haircut day. Brace yourself for grumpy tweets.

draknfyre asked:

Does anyone else feel the TCG art is hit or miss?

Some of the pieces are really good, they look like they come right out of a Blizzard artbook themselves, then others, some of them look so far off-model they might as well be Guild War characters, or some other franchise. Pics that if they weren't on a WarCraft product, you wouldn't be able to exactly place which fantasy world franchise they went to.

Then, stuff like this.

Everything about that image is good, except the face. I am not saying I could do better, I am not meaning to criticize that artist specifically, but have they ever actually seen a female Draenei face in detail? Opening up Wowhead and bringing up the 3D model viewer would get you a good example. Even the ears are wrong, they are almost as long as Night Elf ears, and twice as thick.

I work on the WoW TCG now, specifically on art and other creative stuff, so I have a little insight I can share on this stuff. First, for whatever reason, the TCG art that Blizzard keeps adding to the site is old -- sometimes very old, like from the first three sets, when the TCG style hadn't necessarily been defined yet. Not every artist is able to immediately make a piece look like Warcraft, and this was especially true early on, when the creative process for these cards hadn't quite been locked down yet. It got better over time as more artists got used to the Warcraft style and Blizzard better defined said style for the artists. Nowadays, the vast majority of the art looks great.

Also, that piece is really nice. It's just stylized.

skippy1132 asked:

This is a simple question that I'm sure has been asked before, so I apologize in advance. Does anyone know if we get our 11th character slot when we upgrade our account to Mists of Pandaria, or is it something that will happen at launch?

You get it when you patch up to the Mists launch patch. You have to upgrade to Mists to get it, though. No free elevensies!

evoxpisces asked:

What are the easiest raids to solo at 85? I play a rogue, warlock, and shaman, if that matters.

You already got this answer in the comments, but for everyone else: Molten Core. It's the easiest because it's the first one. You can run by most mobs at 85, and you can brute force through most boss gimmicks with little difficulty.

milenko2OOO asked:

any thoughts on whether Blizz will ever update the night sky art template to include Azeroth's second moon? It's mentioned numerous times throughout lore, but the only in-game representation of it is during the Dragonwrath questline (which was obviously only seen by a minority of players). It seems like a pretty glaring lore misstep that they've just kind of ignored for years.

Yes. My thoughts are that it's actually already back in Mists of Pandaria. Welcome back, Blue Child! We missed you. (?)
