The Queue: The Lightbringer

The Queue

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Here's another cool new hero card from WoW TCG's Timewalkers block: young Uther the Lightbringer, circa Warcraft II.

zpkaus asked:

I purchased the digital copy of mists, and I was curious as to what time I would be able to play on the 25th. I live in the eastern time zone, my server is in the central, and I know blizzard is in the pacific. At midnight of which of these time zones will I be able to play first? Thanks.

Mists goes live at midnight Pacific time, so 3 AM your time.

SparkysShocker asked:

I was leveling my Tauren Druid alt this week and noticed something curious about flight form. It like the Night Elf cat and bear forms has long pointed ears.

So my question is did Blizzard ever intend to have a separate flight form for Tauren and just scrapped it? And instead of making a generic model for both they used the Night Elf model.

I'm sure they thought about having a different basic flight form for Alliance and Horde druids, but knew that when push came to shove, players would be looking at the swift version a lot more than the regular version and saved themselves some time.

Alexey asked:

Before 5.0.4, flight path travel was slower than Master riding. Is it faster now with guild perk? How fast is it exactly?

Flight paths have always been faster than Master riding as the crow flies (I can confirm this from having worked at Blizzard and seen the numbers), but many flight paths are not as the crow flies, so the illusion is that they're slower.

mr_killik asked:

During the whole 'Blizzard's secret screenshot watermark' fuss of a few days ago, people were claiming that your account number is publicly available on the Armory. Is this true? I presume it's not (I'm already aware that you can spot account numbers from posts on the official forums).

It's true. The Armory API has your account ID number visible in it, and it's how extensions like Alt-o-Magic let people figure out if you're posting on an alt in your own thread. I don't remember the exact process to find the number, but I know it's in there (or was last time I checked).

g0rg0n asked:

When are you going to switch to a comment software that will allow you to read comments from an android browser or a computer behind a firewall? It really is frustrating that I can read your articles all day long at work (a govt office) or on my phone, but have to wait until I get home to participate in discussion.

I can read comments on an Android browser or on a computer behind a firewall. Often the inability to read comments is linked to a browser plugin/extension that blocks ads or other scripts or a browser than can't read HTML5.
