WRUP: Yet another lazy glued-to-a-handrail kind of afternoon

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

Yawn -- oh, hi. Welcome to a lazy What aRe yoU Playing on a lazy late summer (super early fall?) afternoon. We're just hanging out here, looking all awesome. Also, someone glued us to a handrail, and it's kind of unpleasant.

Anyway, you all know the drill. Let us know what you're playing this weekend, and we'll return the favor. Got a great game you want us to all know about? Maybe you've got a hot new chicken recipe? Or you found a great new way home from work on Thursday? You can share all that too, we're not picky. After all, those who are glued to handrails can't really be beggars.

This week, we have a question for you guys (and for our columnists): This is our last weekend without Mists of Pandaria. How are you spending it?

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) Writing like a madwoman. Also I need to level mining in preparation for digging up whatever Pandaria has to offer. Engineering best profession!

Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid, @alaronmonk) Looking likely that I'll be playing launch night from a laptop in a hotel. :( I'll be setting up the laptop for that, and may pick up Borderlands 2 if my friend decides to get it.

Dan Desmond (@Antigen_) I would love to play Torchlight 2, but with Mists right around the corner I can't really rationalize dropping money on a game I won't play for a while. I can wait until I'm settled into a routine at level 90 and have some time to breathe. Anyway, my weekend will contain lots of furniture shopping, probably solely at Ikea; those Swedes really know how to put particle board together in such a way that it looks halfway decent.

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) I still want to get the Black Circlet from Seige of Theramore for transmog purposes, so I'll be running that a bit. Other than that, I'll be doing some Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer runs for Operation Patriot. Maybe see if I can convince a couple people to do a Batarian run with me.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) Ugh why did I buy Borderlands 2? I keep forgetting that I suck at first person shooters that are not Fallout 3.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) Back to the California grind. Another weekend filled with protein shakes, the gym, and brunch in the 100-degree sun. I bought a Super Nintendo off Amazon which I'll be playing -- Super Mario World, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III, in particular.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) Torchlight 2, Borderlands 2 and making sure I have all my heirloom gear for my monk. Also spending my time busking I think would be the best word for it. I'm attempting to generate donations for crisis prevention services and organizations like, but not limited to, The Trevor Project and Born This Way Foundation, which offer counselling, support and help to those in danger of doing something drastic. It is after all suicide prevention month, and I wanted to do something to honor the memory of my late friend Mark. So I'm working with other folks to offer art commissions in exchange for charitable donations. Details can be found on Way of the Totem.

Matt "Matticus" Low (@matticus) Borderlands 2 for me. It's a fun game, for sure. But the overall experience is heightened when you're in a group. Sadly, MoP preparations means I'm going to fall behind.

Matt Rossi (@MattWRossi) Nothing. Literally nothing. I'm going to sleep.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) I wanted to buy Borderlands 2 and Torchlight 2, but I couldn't responsibly do it (and pay launch price, no less) when I thought about how much time WoW would command the following week. Instead I'll just play Civ V or Skyrim, or whatever, and bide my time until Pandaria opens.

Megan O'Neill (@slowpoker) Probably spending some more time on my GW2 necromancer while writing about warlocks (& maybe necros & maybe witch doctors). I got Tides of War and some other books, and I have reading on my to-do list. Otherwise, I'll continue to prep my warlock for MoP.

Michael Gray (@writegray) Mostly, writing like a crazy person. Also playing a few favorites: "How long can Dad bounce before he gets too tired?" and "Sleep is for the weak."

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) After more consecutive weekends than I care to consider playing write the essay, I am going to indulge in a weekend of drink the wine and do the nothing. Maybe some WoW, but probably mostly visiting the pub.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
