The Queue: What a wonderful kind of day

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

I dare you to find a better theme song than the one used in the Arthur cartoon. I hereby outlaw the Wishbone theme as a rebuttal, because it would be the correct one.

arkainjel001 asked:

Do you think there is any chance of implementing a level scaling system for legendary items, similar to heirlooms? I'm not talking about them being best in slot forever, just a decent weapon to use until it can be replaced at max level. Using this expansion as an example, Sulfuras could be used until level 90, where it would have stats similar to a 463 weapon, and then upgraded to better weapons from there. I just don't like the idea of a "legendary" weapon being completely obsolete and collecting dust in the bank.

You don't like the idea of legendaries becoming obsolete, but the developers don't like the idea of you never replacing it. Even if the item isn't best-in-slot, you'll keep equipping the thing every expansion and that goes against the overall satisfaction of gaining new loot.

Personally, I have no horse in the race. It would be cool if I could dig Shadowmourne out of my bank on a regular basis, but I'm not heartbroken if I can't, either.

Snichy76 asked:

My mind is already drifting to the next expansion. Therefore, I think it was this column who predicted that the next expansion will implement a stat/number consolidation to reduce the amount of digits in stats, damage output etc. Care to elaborate or speculate?

This idea is/was colloquially known as the "squish" and while it was heavily discussed, it hasn't happened yet. I believe the developers experimented with the idea, but came to the conclusion that players will be put-off by seeing their numbers get smaller rather than larger.

cambrowarrior asked:

How much can can a Canadian can if a Canadian can can Canadians?

I think that's illegal.

WulloSweetwater asked:

I've just caught an unborn val'kyr!! It's grey but I DONT CARE I LOVE IT!! :) Sooo.. question.. what's your most recent accomplishment in WoW that you are proud of?

Getting my shaman alt to level 90. That sounds trivial, but it was a big deal to me. I'm used to having a large stable of max level alts to mess around with, but I had absolutely no interest in leveling more than one character in Mists of Pandaria for various reasons. With the changes Blizzard is implementing at level 90 such as making reputation less painful, I decided to give it a while. This is my first alt to hit 90 this expansion. Typically, I would have four or five and played whichever one I felt like playing on any given day. I was getting really tired of only ever playing my rogue.
