Rain drops on PSN this October


Rain, Sony Japan Studio's adventure game that has players guiding the silhouette of an invisible boy through a downpour, will launch on October 1 through PSN, Sony announced. The PS3 exclusive game will cost $14.99.

Those who pre-order Rain before September 30 will also receive a dynamic theme, 5 avatars, a musical montage and static theme in addition to "a few pieces of exclusive content."

Aside from letting Rain's release date slip, Sony also offered up a new developer diary video for the game, which is centered around its music.

Today we are very excited to share the second Developer Diary, "The Music of rain" from Japan Studio and PlayStation C.A.M.P. and to finally announce that rain will be released on PSN on October 1st 2013 on the PlayStation Store for $14.99 in North America! In this developer diary, hear from Yugo Kanno, who handled all aspects of the composition and arrangements, and singer Connie Talbot, an up-and-coming vocalist from the UK about their experiences recording the music.

We are also pleased to announce a pre-order that players can pick up now until September 30th on the PlayStation Store that will offer a few pieces of exclusive content. In addition to the full game, the pre-order will come with a Dynamic Theme, 5 hand drawn Avatars, a Musical Montage and a Static Theme, all for $14.99! The Static Theme can be downloaded as soon as players purchase the pre-order and the rest will be available on October 1st.
