The Queue: Horehound is not a bad word

The Queue

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

As you read this, I'm off exploring the halls of the Milwaukee Public Museum and buying copious amounts of horehound candy sticks. Who doesn't enjoy eating stuff that tastes like licorice pennies?

@ExileDispatches asked:

Is it possible for WoW to go free-to-play without ending up pay-to-win?

Absolutely. Many MMOs do it. My current favorite is The Secret World, where you more or less have a virtual shopping mall available to dress up your character for real money. I thought that was great. My character doesn't have to wear sweet boots with big ol' buckles, but for a couple bucks, she totally can. There are no stats involved, just fashion choices.

Delaterre asked:

If I want to send a picture to Around Azeroth, am I supposed to write the story as well?

Nope. You can if you want, but it's not required. Ms. Wachowski has a blast writing those up herself.

robgrayert asked:

Is WoW Insider just not acknowledging the announcement of the discontinuation of WOW:TCG, or did I miss an article? I wasn't into the TCG or anything, but Blizzard dropping a product line seems like ... news? I guess we've got Hearthstone now.

We weren't intentionally ignoring it. Most of our staff (myself included) typically checks out for the weekend. I pop in if there's a fire that needs putting out, but that didn't count as a fire. A story on it did end up going live late yesterday evening, though.

@ShaofHappiness asked:

What deck are you rockin' in @PlayHearthstone?

Still playing a priest, as mentioned last week. At first I hated it, then I loved it, now I think I hate it again. It's too reliant on your opponent being a ninny and letting you keep your minions on the field. There's not a lot of control, just polite suggestions that maybe they would be willing to let your Light Spawn or Gurubashi Berserker live while you buff the crap out of it. I'm likely to switch to a deck with more innate board control soon. Mage, for example.

It's pretty sweet when you're playing against a mage and they freeze your minions with Frost Nova one turn, freeze them with Blizzard the turn after that, then freeze the minions you still have alive with Cone of Cold the turn after that, and then they have a +5 Spell Power Malygos on the field and Pyroblast your hero for 15 direct damage.

Great. Great.

@Adamdm_ asked:

Other than cuddling polar bears and the Horde/Alliance becoming one faction, what else can we expect from the next expansion?

More levels, more quests, more dungeons, and more poop.

For those of you not in-the-know, @Adamdm_ is referencing a gag.

@Neophear asked:

Any chance that Void Storage will get increased?

I don't know that Void Storage will get a direct capacity increase, but the devs are always looking for ways to free up inventory space. Getting tabards out of our bags will help some people. Others, it won't help at all. We'll have to wait and see what solutions they find.
