The Queue: Jane Austen for Warlord

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

This isn't a joke about Warlords needing lady characters. I swear.

erebhir asked:

Now that Ever Jane, the Jane Austen MMO, has reached its Kickstarter goals, do you think we'll see Blizzard add ballroom dancing to compete before the end of WoD?

I don't think they have a choice. If Blizzard doesn't keep up with the enormous strides Ever, Jane is making in gossip-based gameplay, we have a new WoW killer on our hands.

ErinKinsella asked:

i see that Gul'dan is green in WoD does he till still side with Kil'Jaden or is it some other reason

In Warlords of Draenor, Gul'dan still signs on with the Burning Legion. The issue is that he's the only one that did. The other warlords changed their minds before dipping into the Kool-Aid. Because of that, Gul'dan and his clan are at odds with the others, and Kil'Jaeden might play a role in everything that's happening.

lake_tortoise asked:

So, what's with WoW Insider's editorial bent to basically write off Mists as if everyone is done with everything and it's all doldrums until the next expansion lands? Yes, there are to be no more patches. Yes, the best of guilds have beaten all of the raid content. Admittedly I have a small social circle, but all of those people have plenty left to do in Mists. Many comments on this site seem to come from people who have plenty items left to check off their to do list. So, what's with the "nothing to see here, move along" approach to your articles? Or am I the only one who sees it that way... or am I misinterpreting where people stand, and most people are, in fact, totally done with Mists?

Patch 5.4 has been out for roughly three months now. Our lack of articles about it doesn't mean we think everyone is done with it -- we just have nothing left to say about it. When we say something to the effect of Mists is over, we aren't suggesting everyone should stop logging in until Warlords of Draenor. It means there are is no forthcoming content for this expansion, only for the next one. If we're offending people with how often we're discussing Warlords, then I apologize for that. We've simply done all there is to do with Mists. If you need something for the current expansion, it's most likely in our backlog. We, the writers, have to look forward to what's in the horizon.

ErinKinsella asked:

do new players still get 30 there first month free my new just hit the lvl 20 trail cap and is un sure if she wants to sub i told her that 30 free days could help her decide

You get a free 30 days when you buy the game, yes. After that 30 days, you need to begin a subscription.

BlazeNor asked:

How much WoW do you sacrifice when starting a new family?

As much as you need to! In all seriousness, your playstyle will determine that. You can solo on your own schedule. By your own schedule, I mean on your child's schedule. Questing between naps isn't going to be an issue, I'd think. If you're more of a group player, particularly a raider, you might have something of a shock coming your way. Unless you and your significant other work out a plan between the two of you, where you babysit one night and your partner handles it the next, sticking to a raid schedule is going to become very difficult.

CaptainCakewalk asked:

As we have seen this on many NPC's, Mishka being the most recent one with her John Lennon-esque spectacles, will we ever see any glasses in WoW? I for one would love to have the chance of getting some glasses!

I think it would be neat! Make Mishka's glasses available as an item roleplayers can use or something like that. Engineers seem to have a monopoly on glasses/goggles that have real stats.

extomar asked:

Wouldn't it be fun if they improved character models they added additional visual glyphs? I'd love to see a Paladin Minor Glyph that shows a book.

I would absolutely love that. It's one thing Warhammer Online (RIP) did that I adored. Through doing various tasks, you could earn trophies you could attach to your character like gear. Some of them were tomes you could hang on your hip. Some of them were daggers you could strip to various places on your character. Some were severed heads you could wear on your belt. No real game impact from any of them, but they were little touches that made my character feel like mine. Sure, me and another guy might have the same tome, but we wear them on different sides! Totally unique, right?

tuvarkz asked:

time for Garona to meet her mother?

I don't think we need nine seasons of Warlords of Draenor.
