One Shots: Get to da Choppa!

WAR

"This is the last time I ever got to see my Orc Choppa in game," sent in reader Sean. "Oddly enough, I couldn't get a screenshot of my Order character because even in the final days they didn't take out the faction locking, and so I was locked out for eight hours."

It's also the last time that I'll be able to make that awesome Predator pun that you see in the title of this week's column there. Man, with Warhammer Online gone, how will I be able to make my '80s action movie references? I guess I'll just put on a brave face and soldier on, somehow.

Even after over a year of operation, I still find myself taken aback by Guild Wars 2's lush graphics. I mean, would you look at this display? You can just reach out and feel those feathers, they're so real!

Quoth Michael, "I just thought it would be cool to share this screenshot of me on my Charr in a pirate costume holding a big chicken! Who ever said that chicken just had to be food? They can be your friends too!"

Reader Matt sent in another great picture from Star Wars Galaxies. "Here is my Jedi in a spaceport using the Chu-gon Dar cube," he said, as if I would be able to understand what a Chu-gon whatsit is. Then my mind started drifting as I thought about just how bad a Jedi I'd be. I kind of like my emotions, so that's a strike against my application. And I'm just not a robe wearer. I fear they'd get all tangled up when I would use my lightsaber, and I'd accidentally slice my fingers off trying to untangle myself from a nearby heat register.

What was I saying? Oh yeah. Star Wars Galaxies! Go play it today!

Loyal Trekkie and my current favorite reader-of-the-moment Doug sent in this a-mahzing screencapture of his ship in the middle of a five-year mission in Star Trek Online.

I'll let Captain Doug set the scene: "I'm exploring a strange new world in the Eridan Belt when I catch a nebula off the portside nacelle of my Dervish. I hit the Print Screen key in an instant. It's vistas like these juxtaposed with my character's starship that bring a fond smile to this old Trek fan."

It's time for another screenshot challenge! For the new year, why not take a few pictures from that MMO that you picked up over the holidays? Oh come now, we both know you did.
