PSA: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge demo out today on PS3, Xbox
The recently announced demo of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge now has a release date: today. The demo is available now on PSN. Meanwhile, the Xbox Live version has yet to appear, though Tecmo tells Joystiq that is "definitely slated to go live today." The demo allows players to take on different sections of the game as either the series longstanding hero Ryu Hayabusa, or the purple-haired kunoichi, Ayane.

TEAM NINJA LAUNCHES ACTION-PACKED DEMO FOR
NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE
Team NINJA and TECMO KOEI America today announced that the free demo for NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE, the latest chapter in the famed action series arriving in April 2nd for PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®, is now available for download. The robust demo is available today on the PlayStation®Store and Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for Xbox 360 and features separate stages starring Ryu Hayabusa, the game's iconic ultimate ninja, and the female warrior Ayane. In support of this news, Team NINJA has released an all-new trailer and a new batch of screenshots related to the demo.
Team NINJA's demo allows players to sample the game's fast, hard-hitting action combat while also creating a save file that can be transferred to the full version of NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE. All Karma and Ninja Skills acquired in the demo can be brought over to the retail game, ensuring that demo play time is put to productive use.
Hayabusa's action-packed stage is set in the scorching deserts of Dubai while Ayane's takes place in Paris, the City of Light. When both stages are cleared, the characters can be played in Chapter Challenge-and skilled players can even unlock Kasumi in the demo. The demo can be played in Hero and Normal difficulty levels by default, and Hard and Master Ninja levels can be unlocked to challenge even the most skilled ninjas.
NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE is the most action-packed and feature rich NINJA GAIDEN game ever created. Published by TECMO KOEI and developed by Team NINJA, the game was designed from the ground up to please core fighting fans with a redesigned battle system, brutal enemy AI, streamlined story elements, upgraded online features, and the return of dismemberment. The Ninja Skills system lets players use Karma earned in combat to purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, and costumes. Adding to the variety of gameplay, Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji all join Hayabusa as playable characters. Ayane will get her own chapters in story mode while all three female characters can be played in the new Chapter Challenge mode and Ninja Trials co-op play with multiple costume options.
NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE is developed by Team NINJA and published by Tecmo Koei. The game has been rated "M" (Mature) by the ESRB and will be available for an MSRP of $39.99 (USD).
