What's that smell?
That smell is Paris Hilton.
The solo dungeon quest to open more of the island was a blast, do you think Blizz might give us more solo dungeon action. Maybe for a few valor or trans. gear items or something?
I sure hope so. I think Blizzard has struck a gem with the solo scenarios they've done. It's an extremely strong story telling device, and really makes me feel like I'm playing Skyrim with the epic nature of the quests and scripted cut-scenes.
I tweeted last night that Blizzard could get 1M subscribers back by making the old Stormwind Onyxia encounter into a scenario -- and it would fit perfectly into a solo scenario.
I do think, however, that they need to be careful about how they use these. WoW is not a solo game, and why such content is appealing, its use on a massive scale could really hamper the way the game is socially played. Which, as I've mentioned before, is theoretically the strongest point of WoW right now.
When will there be some clues about new In-game models (and does that include new Blood Elves and Draenei?) plus, when that 6.0 realise live, will all players get free "Change Apperiance" application on every vanilla character that we have?
I suspect that at this point we'll see them at BlizzCon. It's unlikely we'll get the sooner, if only because every day that we get closer to November the more incentive there is for Blizzard not to unveil anything. They want, ney need, to make this BlizzCon as big as possible. Diablo 3 isn't what fans wanted it to be, however incorrectly Warcraft is seen as a dying game (although patch 5.2 seems to be changing this perspective a little), and StarCraft needs more American exposure and some way to get the US as excited about its esports and our Korean counterparts. Blizzard has an opportunity to blow the industry out of the water this November, and it'll be very interesting to watch and see what they can do.
Why is it called rolling a character? I knew that one. For fun, find some kids and ask them these.
Because you use to have to roll your own paper doll and put armor on it in D&D.
If you press a button to lower a window in your car then why is it called rolling down a window?
There's a gnome inside the window that turns a manual crank to "roll" it down.
If you press buttons on your cell phone to call a friend then why is it called dialing a number?
It's a government ploy -- those numbers are not really necessary, they just let you get tracked by big brother. Open your phone up, press *1 and yell the name of the person you want to call into it. Bam -- you'll get connected without the government intrusion.
In music terms, what is a 45? Better yet, what is a 78?
I can't answer this on a family blog -- but let's just say it has something to do with sizes.
What does the phrase, "Be kind, rewind." refer to?
Thanks to strict trade laws and overzealous politicians looking to get a kickback from foreign investors, any DVD that is not rewond to its starting position must be sent overseas to a child labor camp where the play counter (that thing that lets you stop a DVD in the middle of a move and then pick it back up again later on) get set back to zero.
