The Queue: Thin hamster

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

A very informative video.

michaelm517 asked:

Today, I received the notification allowing me to choose a reward from the Recruit-A-Friend system. With the recent tease of the fiery mechanical steed, and the message, "Fiery mechanical steeds are best when they can be used with friends," I have a good feeling that it could be a new RaF mount. If I am wrong, then whatever, but if that is the case, can I save my current RaF reward token and use it on the new mount if it ends up being one?

You sure can! Hold onto that token.

carobean asked:

Question for anyone who knows: if we start a brand-new character and boost it to 90, does it not get any professions? I thought professions were chosen for characters under 60--tailoring/enchanting for cloth wearers, etc. But I boosted a new warlock, and it didn't have any professions at all.

Only characters boosted at 60+ with professions already chosen get professions boosted to 600; all other boosted characters have to go train them and level them the normal way.

jason4 asked:

I have a warrior for a main, if they are getting rid of flying then I would like to be able to actually leap across gaps with my heroic leap. So I guess my Q for the queue is, What are the chances they would do something like this?

Heroic Leap requires a walkable path; if you can't walk there, you can't leap there. Unless they change the underlying functionality, it's unlikely.

retief94 asked:

With the upgrades to character designs, was there any mention of upgrades to combat animations? Emotes? Riding animation? I'm so tired of my mage throwing out her arms, ball of energy, slight twitch toward target. She has a staff, use it!

Character animations are being updated as part of the new model process; most animations are simply being "cleaned up" and made better rather than being remade from scratch, though. I'd recommend watching the Artcraft videos for the tauren male to get an idea of what you can expect.
