The Queue: Time

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Today is one part serious, one part silly. Brace yourselves.

antiganon asked:

Did anyone else have a Queue to log in to the battle.net app on Sunday night?

There's a group DDoSing numerous gaming networks lately. Battle.net, PSN, XBox Live, and so on. Pretty much everybody has been having a hard time connecting to everything.

calicojane66 asked:

Didn't the Aspects lose their respective powers at the end of Cata? Doesn't that mean that the bronze dragonflight shouldn't be able to manipulate the time streams anymore? I thought the whole point of them sacrificing their powers to defeat Deathwing was that they weren't in control of those forces anymore. Little confussed about how Kairoz was able to do his trickeroo with Garrosh if he wasn't supposed to be able to affect time anymore.

My interpretation is the dragons aren't powerless post-Cataclysm, but aren't as powerful as they once were. No matter how long a dragon plugs in their iPhone, its batteries will never reach full charge. Kairoz cheated the system by seeking out new toys in the temporal anomaly that was the Timeless Isle. As a Bronze Dragon, he had enough knowledge about the timeways to make good use out of what he found there. The Timeless Isle coughed up artifacts that he was well-positioned to exploit.

Dornn asked:

With Warlords not launching until after BlizzCon, will they have any wow to tall about?

My guess is they'll either reveal something about the first content patch or this will be a WoW-light BlizzCon like the one we had a few years back. They might focus on Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, or that StarCraft II expansion we haven't seen yet -- Legacy of the Void.

Rucks asked:

Is WoW Insider having a party at BlizzCon again this year?

Wowhead is running the show this year, but we're along for the ride, yeah. Same place as usual. We'll have an official post before long.

TheMegaSage asked:

So these new character models we're getting - are NPCs getting upgraded as well? In other words, are we going to see Random_Peasant_1 flouncing around Stormwind with spiffy new animations? Will John J up above have a new something-something about him? Or will he still be Lowres McLowreserton?

Unless an NPC has a unique character model, they should receive the upgrade just like our player characters. It would be weird for us to have the new human male model, for example, but Joe Questgiver still has the old one.

And there ends our supply of serious questions for today. Beware, for silliness lies ahead.

Richard asked:

So how do you like Capaldi?

Beats me, I don't watch Doctor Who! Which might make this the most useless Queue answer in history, above even all of our gag answers.

Doctor Who is a show that has never managed to grab me and I've tried watching it many times.

@SamSykesSwears asked:

Why does it hurt so bad.

Because you've chosen to play World of Warcraft by slamming your face on your keyboard. That isn't how you video game, Sam.

@fienddan asked:

if Wowinsider was a mount what would it be and what features would it have.

If would be a flying fountain pen with our logo on the side that uses the flying broom animations. When you fly low, it spews ink and you can write on the ground using the tech from the Warlords quest displayed below. Write your own WoW Insider articles ... on the streets of Stormwind.
