The Queue: Deer fart

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Deer fart.

Nekthara asked:

Question for the Queue: Is there any particular order that the Warcraft novels should be read? I got a few from Goodwill the other day but I don't want to start and feel like I'm missing part of the story.

Don't feel particularly compelled to read them in chronological order as listed here, but if you really want to adhere to an arbitrary guideline you could probably read them in order of release. That way at least you'll meet the characters from the War of the Ancients trilogy before their next appearances, etc.

Portalhopper asked:

Due to raiding until late and always being tired at the end of raids, I have taken to having a power nap before starting and seem to do better than if I don't have one. Where do you stand on power naps?

I always feel like crap after short naps. I can't do naps shorter than 90 minutes or I feel worse than I did before I went to sleep. I know people who do exactly what you do, though!

Eliza asked:

Is CRZ always applied to an entire server, or is it something that can be switched off for certain zones? I get that sometimes areas are just empty, and that's not what Blizz wants us to be playing in, but places like starter areas and Hellfire Peninsula get pretty ridiculous.

CRZ is applied zone-by-zone, or at least that's what Blizzard says. You'll notice cities and zones in the current content aren't CRZ'd.

KeithBarriere asked:

While flying around Karazan the other day I noticed an instance portal in the upper spires of the castle. Outside it were what looked like the Alliance flight path mounts. Anyone know if there is a way to access this portal or where it lead to?

This was originally supposed to be a flight point for raiders who were midway through the dungeon. It was scrapped for reasons unknown.

vankartae asked:

Maybe it's just the combination of eyes, nose, mouth, etc., they used, but I think the new female face is a little bit creepy.

I think many people had this reaction, but the very important thing to remember is that that's what the character looks like with absolutely zero animation. That doesn't mean that's how she'll look while idle or not moving; it means that's the baseline that the animators will use when moving forward to animate her and add expression.

draknfyre asked:

Sacco said he was supposed to do the Queue today. Did he pass because he thought more questions from yesterday's would pop up again since he was doing the Queue again?

I've been sick all weekend, so Anne graciously offered to pick up yesterday's Queue so I could go to bed early.
