Gamers for Giving seeks cash for charity this weekend

The sixth annual Gamers for Giving charity event goes down this coming weekend. On February 8 and 9, Twitch streams of Killer Instinct, Halo 4, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Ghosts and StarCraft 2 will attempt to raise funds to build custom gaming kiosks for children's hospitals and create video game care packages to be sent to military personnel abroad.

Gamers for Giving will take place at the Student Center's Grand Ballroom at Eastern Michigan University over the weekend and the venue is open to all who wish to spectate. If you'd like to participate, you can plunk down cash and register for any LANFest activities here. Or if you'd like to avoid the harsh Michigan weather this weekend, you'll also be able to watch on the Gamers Outreach Twitch channel all weekend long.

Gamers for Giving has already secured over $12,000 and hopes to raise $20,000 before the weekend's over. Gamers for Giving kicks off on Saturday, February 8 at 10am ET – a full schedule of the weekend's events may be seen on the official website.
