The Queue: Draenei and Dinosaurs

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today.

I'm just saying, elves and dragons are cool, but I know what I like.

Let us discuss World of Warcraft, shall we? Don't mind if we do.

dandalfthewhite asks:
Q4tQ: Once a realm is connected does it still have Cross Realm Zones with other realms it's not connected to? Does it still need them? I play on a rather dead, non-connected server, and I was just curious if it changed and maybe brought more a sense of community as you might see similar people while leveling/questing as opposed to crossing a realm line and being with a set of different people.

There are still CRZ on connected realms, if those zones end up needing them. It's all about getting enough people in the zone to make leveling feel more organic and alive. It's likely your realm wouldn't need them as much once it connected with another.

Kinkyhunter asks:
Q4tQ: Before the whole cross-realm mailing was talked about, I bought heirloom gear. Now that we have that ability, I have duplicate heirlooms. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions as to how Blizz will handle this? Will the allow refunds of the items? Check for duplicates and refund the "costs" back?

Blizzard hasn't really done this in previous cases - I didn't get a refund when they dropped the price of epic riding, for instance.

Astalnar asks:
QftQ: With the mounts being shared between all the characters, does that mean that my Horde engineer can access a Geosynchronous World Spinner or Mekgineer's Chopper that my Alliance engineer makes?

I was thinking lately of using my free lvl 90 boost on my Alliance Paladin as he is close to lvl 60, in order to make the engineering mounts and avoid buying from the neutral AH. The prices are abysmal.

In the case of the chopper, you'll get the specific one for the faction in question - my Horde characters get the Horde bike, my Alliance their version. In general, as long as the mount isn't faction restricted with no opposite faction alternative, you'll get it.

Berzerker asks:
Q - What have we not yet heard much about that you think is potentially the most interesting change, lore addition, etc.?

Dude. There's so much I want to know. What's the lore behind garrisons? How do we get to the various starting zones? What's up with the draenei civilization and all these clues about them and water trade and islands and lighthouses? What's the Iron Horde doing in Shattrath? What will we find in Auchindoun? I want to see the Iron Horde in action and get a sense of how these orcs have changed from the ones we knew. I want to explore all the cool things I never got to see because Outland was so barren and destroyed. I'm ludicrously excited for this expansion, and I could go on all night about what I want to see, what I think is crazy interesting.

Brian Packer asks:
For Queue: With the removal of Cleave and Amplify are there any alternative stats with a precedence that may show up?

God I hope not. Five stats is probably enough. Crit, Mastery, Haste, Readiness and Multistrike seem good enough to me.

Arto Vallivirta asks:
Question: Melee animations and spell effects, what more should we get? Warrior shouts that have actual sound effects?

I would really like it if we got some better melee animations. Some melee attacks make me cringe to look at now.

EmberDione asks:
Why should I level a warrior? Other than to name it Rossi?

Level a warrior because warriors are awesome. But if you're going to name a warrior after someone, may I suggest the name Joan?

And that's the Queue for today. See you in Draenor.
