WRUP: Good news everybody!
When you say news around here, you frequently get a wide variety of results. After all, we're a WoW news site, and it's easy to assume were talking about in-game news. But, sometimes, recent world events are so troubling that we might be talking about those affairs. Or we might be talking about some personal news. After all, "news" is a big word. So when we asked your intrepid WoW Insider staff what they thought of the news this week, we got some surprising answers.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'll be working on capping valor on my alt (Gotta get that legendary cloak!) and possibly sneaking in some Diablo III if I'm not too terribly busy with other projects in the meantime. Honestly, the lack of loading screen on an instanced area sounds pretty cool to me -- I'm wondering if we'll see that applied to dungeons and raids in the future. I know several people who would be glad to be rid of the loading screen boss for good.
Elizabeth Harper (@Faience) After finishing Loremaster of Eastern Kingdom I'm going to get started on Loremaster of Kalimdor. So many quests....
Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) I've gotten back into WoW in a big way, so I'll be leveling my hunter and warlock. Why didn't anyone tell me affliction was so awesome? I hit a couple DOTs, move onto the next mob, and end up with a huge pile of corpses without taking a hit. I'll also be working on my 85 rogue and 71 DK, since I want to have one of every profession and at least two dual-gatherers ready to go at launch.
The biggest news of the week has to be the Russia/Ukraine conflict. I'm still trying to sort out what exactly is going on. I know that a lot of the Crimean residents are pro-Russian, but still, you can't just send troops to take over part of a foreign country because you didn't like a change in their government. Then again, what can anyone do? The BRAC countries are vital to the world economy, so severe sanctions could hurt everyone. And obviously no one is going to fight Russia, because that's ended pretty badly for everyone ever.
Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) I'm going to be playing Diablo III still. Either with my lovely wife or moving my newly 60 barb into harder content, we'll see what happens.
The biggest news of the week was the new instancing technology without a loading screen. That's huge.
Michael Gray (@writegray) I hinted at Throgg and Swift: Worlds Police last week. I finished the first draft and am now doing copyediting and tidying. Coming soon to an Amazon near you.
Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) I'll be playing WoW and finishing up my Secret of Mana replay. Man that game is fun. Biggest news of the week... well, for me it's that I'm out of surgery, now sans thyroid (GOOD BYE-ROID) and doing well! But the hospital claims I'm on a soft diet and wouldn't let me order a cheeseburger for dinner. wtf. Cheeseburger for sure when I get home!
Oh, you meant WoW news? Um, like Rossi said, the new instancing tech is pretty amazing! I never thought something like that would be a priority, so it's exciting!
