WRUP: Hearthstone and Fanfic

While BlizzCon tickets (and the challenges with them) is the topic of the day, let's stick to happier subjects. After all, things with Hearthstone continue to move along swimmingly, and who doesn't like enjoying a bit of creativity with a favorite game?

So we asked your intrepid WoW Insider staff: If your character were going to be a Hearthstone card... what would its stats be? It's not quite fanfic but more like fancards.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'm going to spend the weekend writing as usual -- and I may do a little more checking into Heroes of the Storm. I finally got into the alpha, and I've barely had a chance to play. What I've seen from the tutorial is pretty fun, though! Hopefully I'll get a bit more free time to check it out on Sunday. Hearthstone card - I hadn't really given it a thought before. Minion card, 5 mana, 3 health and 2 attack - a Lorewalker, any class can use it. Battlecry: Researches your opponent's deck, and chooses a card at random to duplicate in your hand.

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) I'll be running a new challenge mode group and healing (rather than tanking) them for the first time, which should be an interesting experience. As for Hearthstone, I am such an abysmal player that there's only one plausible "Allie card." Druid card named Learned Helplessness: 0 mana cost, 1 health, 0 attack. Battlecry: Guarantees that your opponent will, even, if he is a rural Papua New Guinean tribesman but recently introduced to the existence of computers or the wheel, still play this game better than you.

Chase Christian (@madsushi) Rogue card, 3 mana cost. A goblin rogue hops into a random match (not your current match), kills one minion, and Vanishes away.

Elizabeth Harper (@Faience) THERE ARE NO MONK CARDS; I DEMAND MY MONKISH EXISTENCE BE JUSTIFIED WITH HEARTHSTONE CARDS.

Beyond that I don't know.

I also don't know what I'm playing this weekend.

Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) I'm working on a writing project - first fiction I've gotten myself to sit down and write consistently in a couple of years. Pretty much doing that all weekend, I hope.

I don't know squat about Hearthstone so I'll just link to my WoW TCG card and say "That."

Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) I will be playing Heroes and WoW. I am so lazy, I haven't finished my Legendary cloak yet. I need to fix that.

Regarding Hearthstone cards--a friend of mine made one for my main using the Hearthstone card generator. Druid card. Lani costs 5 mana, has three health and three attack. Battlecry: heal two health to each ally; draw two cards.

She's pretty powerful, actually.
