Apple updates French website in show of solidarity with Charlie Hebdo

Following the terrorist attack against the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo Apple has updated its French homepage with a black banner is a sign of solidarity. The banner reads "Je Suis Charlie" which translated in English means "I am Charlie." On January 7 three gunmen opened fire on the Paris office of the paper, killing 12 and wounding 11. Cartoonists Charb, Carbu, Philippe Honoré, Tignous, and Georges Wolinski and economist Bernard Maris were among the staff killed, along with two police officers.

Charlie Hebdo has announced their next issue will be released according to the normal schedule, with an increased print run being the only change.
