Loot or be Looted

It is five minutes till midnight. You have your Hot Pockets next to you. Your clan brought the Monster Energy and Red Bull drinks for the night. From the corner of your eye you see the button on screen change from, "Unlock at 12 Midnight," to "Play!" Oh wait, an update bar just appeared, the game has a day one update patch. After ten minutes the game is finally ready.

As you and your clan create new characters, you realize that the game added a new class, Crusaders. On impulse you pick the new one, since you think that the new ones are always stronger than the older classes. Finally, after 10 minutes of customizing looks and appearances, your entire clan has loaded into a server together.

This release of the game starts at New Tristram where the undead has risen again to terrorize the townsfolk. As expected, your team of five easily defeats the first wave at the town gate in order to start the actual story line of the game. After several minutes of unskippable dialogue with the NPC's (Non playable characters), your team is allowed to begin the first quest.

After around an hour of gameplay, you and your clan begin to become more accustomed to the new weapons and attribute boosters. The clan as a whole has become much stronger and you are dying less. Thus, each quest can be completed quicker, since your clan does not have to wait for one person to revive and teleport back to where everyone else was.

Like most team games, you will soon find that one person is becoming particularly strong and developing a habit of rushing through the dungeons, thus, he/she is constantly leaving the rest of the team behind. The clan becomes frustrated, so you all leave the group server and begin playing separate games.

Five hours later, everyone in the clan has reached the halfway point of the game and gained significant amounts of loot (treasure from chests and monsters). Once again, the group server is created so that the clan can trade weapons with each other. Some items are exclusive to some classes, and cannot be used by others. Another hour has passed, and the clan finally realized that no one has activated the Wings of Valor preorder bonus yet.

Finally, after ten more hours of grinding and breaks, your clan has beat the game. All of your initial characters are at the level cap of seventy. Do you quit playing and call it a day? Oh no, you and your clan take a break, then proceed to explore the side quests and story lines. As a dutiful gamer, you know quite well that there are items that can only be attained after you beat the game.
