Damien Barrett
Damien Barrett spent his childhood moving every year or two--his family
lived in places like American Samoa, England, an Indian Reservation in South
Dakota, and even Yellowstone National Park for a summer. When he was 10, he
moved to England and lived on an American communications base. The after
school activities at the school on the base tended towards what the
volunteers (from the base) could teach, and so leaned a bit heavily towards
computers and technology. So at ten years old he was learning to program in
BASIC, FORTRAN, and PASCAL. After moving back stateside, Damien continued
his computer interests and started building computers from parts ordered out
of magazines.
