Born and raised in New York City, Melissa Grey discovered her fascination with gadgets when she got her grubby little paws on her brother's NES in the late '80s. Since those halcyon days of duck hunting and battletoading, she's walked a winding path to Engadget, hitting stops in fashion blogging and comics journalism along the way. The great loves of her life include spontaneous travel, afternoon tea, and the stray cat that wandered into her house and never left. For what it's worth, she can also ride a horse and shoot a bow and arrow at the same time.
