Gather your supplies. You will want to select a variety of flowers for your basket. I chose a few bushes from the Spring and Summer selections at Michaels. I used 2 kinds of smaller bushes (and 2 of each), one large bush and a bush of large white flowers.
Fit the styrofoam base into your basket. I just so happened to find some that fit my basket perfectly, but you can always cut up pieces to fit. If your piece is loose, you can use some double sided tape to secure it.
Break apart your Spanish Moss and place a generous amount in your basket. This will make it appear more realistic.
Remove the tags from your flowers and trim the stems off of each bush.
Begin placing the stems through the moss and into the styrofoam. Be sure to make your flowers different lengths so your arrangement looks more natural.
Fill up your basket with flowers. Avoid open spots, as shown in the picture, and mix up your flowers so they are not all in one spot. You can remove and replace the stems until you get the look you want.
Once you've finished arranging the flowers, tie a bow to the basket handle. If you don't want to make your own bow, there are plenty that come ready to attach. For more creative projects, visit World of WarCrafts.
