...it really could be a legitimate business tool. If you’re going to use the iPad for work, you’re going to need a keyboard. I can certainly recommend this one.

Apple's keyboard dock for the iPad offers a functional and elegant solution for anyone who finds the touch-screen keyboard too limiting, but it does not transform the iPad into a proper computer.

Like the iPad it pairs with, the Keyboard Dock is a very polarizing device. You'll either love it and think it's worth every penny, or burn all of your black mock turtlenecks in disgust.

While the iPad Keyboard Dock makes typing on the iPad considerably easier we have to say it's not something we would recommend adding to your shopping list.

We really wanted to like the Apple iPad Keyboard Dock, and it was top of our list of accessories to obtain. It surprised us when it didn't work out.

Though it mightn’t be the most practical or versatile design for traditional desktop use, the iPad Keyboard Dock is every bit as excellent as Apple’s desktop and laptop keyboards for actual typing...it’s a good enough start to merit our general recommendation.

Nothing to configure. Sucks that it's been discontinued. Still works with the iPad 2 though. Great product for typing out super long emails and such.

A great device on a desk or table top. If you're on the couch, in bed, etc. it gets too top heavy for the iPad, but still works for an iPod Touch or iPhone. If you plan to use it mostly while you're close to horizontal, get the Bluetooth keypad. Get both.... have docks and Bluetooth keypads...

Great for long school projects. It's heavy so carrying around with it is not an option. Stopped working after the 5th month and Apple wouldn't repair or change it.

Get this dock if you do a lot of typing on the iPad. If you want something more flexible the Bluetooth Keyboard and BookArc might be a better combo.
