Bowers & Wilkins might be better known for their speakers, but their headphones have also done the name proud, with the P7 being no exception. Once again, Bowers & Wilkins comes through with a design that pleases critics, with Forbes saying the "fit and finish is excellent" and it gives the headphones a "luxury aesthetic." That attention to design also impacts their fit, with the New York Times saying the P7 headphones "were so comfortable" they fell asleep still wearing them, and Laptop Magazine says their seal keeps "plenty of noise out." However, even the most comfortable headphones are only as good as the sound they produce, and the P7's certainly deliver, with PC Mag calling the sound "great without a completely pure flat response that can make bass seem underwhelming." Bowers & Wilkins is a master at blending style and substance together to deliver enjoyable and comfortable listening experiences, exemplified beautifully by the P7.

Worth the $399? Our eyes say yes, and our ears wholeheartedly agree. Very few headphones compete with the P7 in looks or sound at this price.

At $400, the P7 headphones are not a product I would use on my daily subway commute, but I would feel comfortable wearing them while relaxing in a luxury hotel.

So the P7s sound great and they’re classy. But they’re also an investment. Continue to treat them well, and they’ll likely continue to delight your ears for a very long time.

The Bowers & Wilkins P7 may not the best headphone you can buy in its luxury price range, but it certainly is among the best, with excellent build quality and rich sound that works well with a wide range of music genres and sources.

The P7s are an ambitious pair of headphones for B&W – they’ve gone big on design but even bigger on performance which puts them right up with the frontrunners for class-leading status.

The B&W P7s are fantastic headphones. They’re perhaps a little pricey, given that their sound quality is similar to some (admittedly excellent) cheaper headphones.

Taken as a whole, Bowers & Wilkins’ P7 is an easy headphone to recommend to price-no-object accessory buyers—beautiful, comfortable, and sonically effortless to enjoy. The single biggest obstacle is its $400 price point, which feels somewhat steep given the actual delta.

Sure, the oversized design might lend itself more towards home listening than the daily commute, but however you decide to use them, you won't be disappointed. That is, if you can afford the considerable chunk of change required to buy them in the first place.

There's no doubt that these headphones are good. They're probably even great. They probably even justify that price tag.

The Bowers & Wilkins P7 are classy headphones with the sort of construction most other sets can only dream of. Sound quality is bettered by open-back sets, but they’re portable headphone royalty. As long as you don’t work on a building site – noise isolation isn’t that good.

The P7's $100 more than the M4U 1, and $50 to $170 more than the Momentum (depending on where you buy it), so it's a more expensive option. But I prefer the P7's comfort, form factor and styling to any of the other headphones mentioned.

I got my hands on an early sample, and out of the box I was impressed with the build quality and the comfort level. What I liked about these headphones is that they offer a tight seal around your ears but don't put too much pressure on your head.

I am no audiophile but I absolutely love my music. I did a lot of reading/research prior to deciding on these and I can say that they absolutely reached the peak of my tests. I compared them to Sennheiser Momentum and Audio-Technica M50 and B&W P7 blew them out of the water. The sound from...
