Soon it won't just be Switch owners who get to play indie platform-puzzler Human: Fall Flat on the go. After shifting five million copies across PC, Mac and consoles, the game is heading to mobiles. For the uninitiated, Human stars a claymation-style character named Bob, who walks like he's drunk. Your job is to steer him across a series of floating levels, each with increasingly difficult physics-based puzzles. But if you're easily distracted, chances are you'll use the props on-hand (think catapults, forklifts, and wrecking balls) to cause happy accidents.

Murderous thieves though they may be, the masked crooks of Payday 2 are a progressive bunch and have hired a new female member going by the pseudonym "Clover" to join their heists, assuming you buy the game's newly-available character pack. Available on Steam and other digital distribution platforms for $5, the character pack introduces Clover alongside her unique mask and Shillelagh weapon - Clover is overtly Irish, in case the name didn't give it away - as well as the new Queen's Wrath assault rifle and an additional perk deck focused on breaking into things and accessing areas that are otherwise off limits. Payday 2 also receives a new mission today, dubbed "The Diamond Heist." In it, players will attempt to swipe the world's most famous diamond from a heavily guarded museum. Players are given the option to pre-plan the heist or just ad-lib the whole thing, and they'll do so in style thanks to four new masks "based on historical figures and myths of old." The Diamond Heist DLC features a price of $7. Beyond the break you'll find a trailer for the Diamond Heist narrated by Clover. It's not in-game footage, but it does set up ample reason to steal the precious mineral. [Image: 505 Games]

The port also boasts new tutorials aimed at first-timers, along with a split-screen co-op mode that supports up to four players. The Xbox One version of Terraria is available digitally for $19.99. The PlayStation 4 version of 2D exploration/sandbox game Terraria will surface on November 11, according to a new post on the PlayStation Blog. According to publisher 505 Games, the PS4 version is almost three times as large as the PS3 version, featuring more than 1,000 new items. The PS4 version will also feature a "pinch to zoom" feature using the DualShock 4's touchpad so players can zoom out and see the world of Terraria on a different scale, as well as a bevvy of other improvements. Perhaps the best news for intrepid pixelated prospectors however is that the PS4 version of Terraria will be cross-play compatible, so you'll be able to join up with likeminded players on PS3 and PS Vita. To that end, 505 Games is also bundling a free copy of the Vita version with a new purchase of the PS4 version for a limited time. [Image: 505 Games]

Whoa. Keanu Reeves' character John Wick (of the new film, also called John Wick) is now playable in developer Starbreeze's Payday 2. The free DLC is the result of a partnership with Lionsgate, which also partnered with Devolver Digital back in August to create The Expendabros. "Lionsgate's entry into the game space is continuing to build momentum with the addition of another great partner and a tremendous piece of IP," Lionsgate President of Interactive Ventures & Games Peter Levin said in a press release. In addition to playing as John Wick, the DLC also offers a new perk system called Hitman, which includes the ability to dual-wield weapons, a Chimano Compact pistol with modification options, a knife and three pairs of sunglasses. If you don't already own Payday 2, you can score a free Steam code of the game when you purchase tickets to see John Wick via Fandango. Like ... whoa. [Image: 505 Games]

Payday 2 will receive a special piece of Hotline Miami-themed DLC on September 30, Overkill Software announced in a Steam community update. The collaboration between the developer and Hotline Miami creator Dennaton Games will feature at least one heist mission, though Overkill has not spelled out what other gruesome events will take place in the DLC, nor has it mentioned a price for the pack. The developer did offer a rather terrifying live-action trailer to announce the downloadable cross-over, found after the break. The sequel to Dennaton's graphic top-down shooter, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, will launch later this year. [Image: Overkill]

Sniper Elite 3 leads the UK charts for a second week, as Brits continue to enjoy shattering various body parts in slow-mo. Maybe it's a form of relief following England's dismal World Cup and Andy Murray's struggles at Wimbledon. In fairness, there are few things that ease the pain like sending a virtual bullet through some virtual fool's virtual gut. As you might have guessed, it's another quiet week for the UK charts with no real new releases to talk about. Instead of worrying about that, you can head below the break for the full top 10 and a window into happier times for English football.

EA Sports' UFC managed one week as the British king of the ring, but it failed to spot Sniper Elite 3 lurking in the audience. Rebellion's shooter displaced the fighter this week, marking the series' second time on top of the UK charts. Incidentally, how would you camouflage at a UFC event? What would you disguise the rifle as? Inquiring minds want to know. Anyway, UFC slipped to third with Watch Dogs resuming its watch in second place. GRID Autosport was the other new release to make the top ten, placing 7th, while Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark fell just short in 12th. Also outside the top ten and for the first time are 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and Mario Kart 8, dropping to 11th and 13th respectively.

Rebellion's Sniper Elite 3 hits store shelves in North America next Tuesday, but Xbox One players will have to queue up one of the largest day-one patches in recent memory the first time they boot it up. Upon its launch in Europe earlier this week, the retail Xbox One version of Sniper Elite 3 prompted players to download a 16GB patch at startup, Videogamer reports. Speaking to Eurogamer, a Rebellion representative noted that the patch addresses data sync issues between the retail and downloadable versions of the game and ensures DLC compatibility in its multiplayer modes. The patch only applies to the retail Xbox One edition of Sniper Elite 3, as the downloadable Xbox Marketplace version already includes all patch data. The PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will see a much smaller day-one-update. [Image: Rebellion]

A life of crime balances risk with the tantalizing lure of bigger targets, and Overkill Software's co-operative shooter is gunning for its biggest holdup yet with Payday 2: Crimewave Edition on Xbox One and PS4. The related press release notes that the port is packing "enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content" in its dollar-sign-emblazoned knapsack, but further details are laying low for now, along with a price and release date. When Payday 2 started its campaign of stickups in August, our review described it as a "nonstop series of little stories and moments of surprise." [Image: 505 Games]

Popular 2D sandbox platformer Terraria will arrive on Xbox One and PS4 later this year, publisher 505 Games announced on the game's forums. Developed by Re-Logic, the PS4 version will feature Cross-Play and Cross-Save functionality with its Vita counterpart, which launched in December. Next-gen players will have access to Terraria's version 1.2 content, including its various improved gameplay mechanics and graphical upgrades that arrived on Xbox 360, PS3 and Vita in April. The publisher says the Xbox One and PS4 versions will also feature "some brand new functionality," though it's unclear just what that means. Terraria is currently free on Vita for PlayStation Plus members this month, which will bolster its already strong download numbers; it reached 1.3 million downloads on mobile devices and one million across PS3, Xbox 360 and Vita as of March. As expected, the console versions of Re-Logic's 2D sandbox platformer Terraria have been updated to version 1.2 today. The update brings a large list of bug fixes as well as improved gameplay mechanics and graphical changes to the PS3, Xbox 360 and Vita versions, such as a brighter sun and darker midnight portions of the game. Version 1.2's change log is a "direct copy from the PC change log with console exclusive changes added to them," putting the console versions more on par with the PC game. The game has found massive success for Re-Logic on all platforms, topping 1.3 million downloads on iOS and Android and one million downloads across Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita as of late March. It first launched on PC in May 2011 and just hit Vita in December. The game's creator, Andrew Spinks, discussed plans for a sequel to Terraria in October, noting that it wasn't in development at the time. [Image: 505 Games]

  • Terraria 1.2 update lands April 17; adds new bosses, sunnier sun

On April 17, Terraria will receive a "massive and free" update on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Vita. Update 1.2 makes numerous tweaks to the console version and adds plenty of fresh content, including four new bosses, additional NPCs, new pets, and "over 1,000 new items." The console version change log, which the game's official forum notes is "a direct copy from the PC change log with console exclusive changes added to them," notes a few other additions, including new ores, wood types, brick types and the ability to now imbue melee weapons. Update 1.2 makes a few improvements to Terraria's graphical fidelity as well, making the sun brighter and making midnight in the open world darker. "Hell houses have been remodeled," the change log adds, which is itself a feat considering just how lazy the contractors in hell are. The complete list of changes detailed on the official Terraria forum, can be found after the break. [Image: Re-Logic / 505 Games]

  • A bullet and bad guy love affair in Sniper Elite 3

Bullets soar in slow motion once again in Sniper Elite 3, a new installment of Rebellion's third-person shooter coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer. Continuing the franchise's tense action through the second World War, Sniper Elite 3 focuses its efforts on the mountainous regions of North Africa. What fascinates and still disturbs me about the Sniper Elite series is its relationship with bullets. Sometimes, you fire away and the ammunition is simply disposable destruction, but every so often the game becomes enamored with a single shell. It lovingly slows the camera down and sways as the killing shot exits your rifle's chamber, triumphantly careening toward its new owner (also known as the guy you just shot). As the bullet hits, the enemy's body contorts; in a single cut, the camera pans around both the baddie and the bullet in an eloquent and disturbing dance of death. Get a room, you guys.

  • 505 Games publishing Adrift, Three One Zero's trip to space gone wrong

Developer Three One Zero's first-person hardship simulator in space, Adrift, sounds less than forgiving. Unlike its protagonist however, Three One Zero will have company in the form of publisher 505 Games when Adrift launches into orbit in mid-2015, both on PC and to-be-determined consoles. With no memory, a damaged suit and the surrounding clutter of a space station's remains, Adrift's protagonist doesn't have a ton of leisure time. In their push to fix an escape vehicle and return to Earth, players will guide their astronaut's gathering of resources and their search for clues to what caused the former shelter's demise. Players will also lead their character through the act of not dying in space. Adrift will be Three One Zero's first title, a studio formed last September by Omar Aziz and Adam Orth. Previously a creative director at Microsoft's video game division, Orth's comments regarding always-online consoles sparked a strong backlash last year, leading to Microsoft apologizing for the "inappropriate comments." Reports of Orth's departure from Microsoft followed several days later. [Image: 505 Games]

  • Tiny Brains becomes $10 cross-buy for PS3 and PS4 with free update

    03.30.2014

Tiny Brains launched on the PS4 in December last year, and since then it's gotten a bit bigger on the inside: a free update to the game has added new time-based and puzzle challenges, a new superpower, online functionality for the demo which allows players to join up with those who own a full copy of the game, and more. Arguably, the biggest update of all is that the game is now a cross-buy purchase for PS3 and PS4, so you'll get two copies for the price of one. Or rather, two for half the price of one; the game's initial price of $20 has been cut down to $10 across all platforms, which means that the game is now both tinier and larger. Whoa. We ... we may need to sit down. [Image: 505 Games]

Terraria, Re-Logic's 2D sandbox adventure game, surpassed a combined 1.3 million full-game downloads on iOS and Android. The game first arrived on iOS in August 2013 and on Android in September. Additionally, publisher 505 Games announced that Terraria recently achieved one million downloads in total across Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita, the latter of which arrived in December. Andrew Spinks, the creator of Terraria, first divulged plans for the game's sequel in October, but was careful to note that it wasn't in development at the time. Spinks later said he'd like to code Terraria 2 in a more portable language so he can bring the game to multiple platforms closer to its PC launch, though Nintendo's 3DS is likely not in the cards for the sequel.
