A poll on Facebook asked fans a few weeks back which of several proposed concept characters they would like to see fully realized in Tekken Revolution. The poll narrowed it down to three potential fighters and, during a presentation at Comic Con last weekend in San Diego, fans selected a winner in "Female Vampire." Attendees were able to choose from "Female Vampire," "Sexy Tekken Force" and "Shin Kamiya," the top three winners of the original Facebook fan poll. Then, by a show of hands, "Female Vampire" emerged victorious. The Tekken Revolution development team will work to add her to the roster immediately, with a planned entrance penciled in for sometime in the fall. Tekken Revolution is a PS3 exclusive free-to-play version of Namco's long-running fighting series. A significant update, which will add a practice mode, new playable characters and customization options, is planned for later this month in North America.

If you were sad that you couldn't make it out to the Video Games Live concert at Comic Con this week, you're about to give Twitch a great big hug. The 20-song concert, featuring orchestral renditions of some of your favorite game music, will be streamed live on Twitch Saturday night. It's also your chance to get a sneak peek (or listen, really) at music from upcoming releases Assassin's Creed 4 and Destiny. Other set list representatives include Dota 2, Diablo 3, Street Fighter 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, Skyrim, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Cross. Streamers can expect to tune in to a bit of Final Fantasy and Castlevania too - it wouldn't be VGL without a bit of FF. The streamed pre-show begins at 9PM ET (6PM PT) on Saturday, July 20, featuring interviews with some of the composers behind the tunes on show, including Journey's Austin Wintory and Dota 2's Tim Larkin - and Metal Gear Solid voice actor David Hayter - why not, we suppose. The concert proper starts at 11PM ET (8PM PT).

  • Capcom encases 3DS, 3DS XL in vintage Mega Man look

Capcom has taken part in an ongoing observation of Mega Man's 25th anniversary with statues, soundtrack releases, USB drives, and even an officially promoted fan game. As we stretch into year two of the 25th anniversary celebration, Capcom is producing a Mega Man-themed case for 3DS and 3DS XL. At first blush, outfitting a 3DS in Mega Man garb seems like a cruel tease, after the death of Mega Man Legends 3. But Capcom is releasing all of the NES Mega Mans on the handheld's Virtual Console (it's up to 4 now), making an NES-style Mega Man motif appropriate. The case will be on sale at Comic-Con, as well as at Capcom's online store.
