BlizzCon 2010 is officially over! While most enjoyed their fun and games, one player wasn't quite so lucky. We ran a report earlier this weekend about a man who had injured himself in the dance competition, falling to the stage twice and not getting up the second time around. The next day, we caught up with the dancer named Daniel, aka Darkdarius, an orc hunter from the guild <Obsessive> of Bladefist (US-H), who was thankfully on his feet and hanging out with the rest of his guild. Daniel was happy to give us a brief interview about his injury. So Daniel, what happened exactly? The footage looked pretty brutal. I was just jumping around [performing the undead male dance] and I fell. I got back up, but the second time I fell, I just heard a pop and I couldn't bend my leg at all, so they had to carry me offstage. It kind of felt a little embarassing. Did you go to the hospital immediately after? No, first I went to the first aid person at the convention center and she checked up on me. Then after that, I went to the emergency room and they checked me out, then told me that I broke a ligament in my leg. Ouch! How long are you going to be in that cast? Well, I still have to go back home to Arizona and I'm going to have to have surgery on my leg. Then I'll probably be in a brace for a couple of days. Glad to hear it's not a major break. So would you call this a BlizzCon to remember? [laughing] Yeah. I just can't wait to see all the YouTube comments! Daniel and the rest of his guild appeared to be in high spirits despite his injury and were more than willing to pose for a photo, throwing up the horns in true undead style. Thank you to Daniel and the rest of the crew from <Obsessive> for the opportunity to chat, and from all of us at WoW Insider, get well soon! BlizzCon 2010 is over! During the BlizzCon 2010 dance competition, one of the competitors reportedly broke his leg. The man was performing a particularly enthusiastic rendition of the male undead dance when he slipped and fell on the stage. He got up a moment later to resume his dance, but quickly fell a second time and did not get back up. Jay Mohr, host of the competition said, "He's tapped out. He's done, he tapped out," indicating the band to stop playing. Then Mohr leaned over to help him up and spoke with him away from the mike. Mohr then stood back up and asked for medical attention, saying that they had a broken leg. The competitor was carried off stage by four employees, by the arms and legs, and the show continued. We've got no idea how this nugget of glorious mechanized boogie snuck past us -- we'll blame it on the horror we experienced while watching Doka Harumi's robot dance routine. Another entrant in that same Japanese robo-dance contest, this red-blazered drone brings the pain, the funk, and all necessary accessories to rock your world. We're not kidding -- if you don't like this, you don't like technology. Skip past the break for not one, but two doses of that mind-altering video action.

Have you ever felt guilty after watching a robot dance? Don't worry, you will soon. Worse than that time you "accidentally" sat through four episodes of Sailor Moon. Worse than that time you watched the Helicopter Boyz video and then sent it to all your friends. Worse than that time you got a J-pop song stuck in your head and tried to hum it to Shazam so you could identify it and buy it on iTunes. So much worse. Video is after the break.

While dance games don't lend themselves well to online competition, this latest gem from Codemasters UK -- promoting upcoming game Dance Factory -- is enough to make anyone bust a move. Almost. By filming yourself dancing, then uploading the video, you could be voted to the top and find yourself at a Pink concert before long -- if you can survive the site's lurid colour scheme long enough to send in your video, that is. Armed with a terrible cameraphone and a drunken mate called Dave, we'll be shielding our eyes and entering; after all, lightweight fun is what dance mat games are all about.[via Eurogamer]
