Jaleel White returns for Sonic fan film
Eddie Lebron, best known for his full-length Mega Man fan film, has released a new short film representing a more realistic take on Sonic the Hedgehog. Lebron brought back Sonic cartoon voice actor (and, yes, Urkel) Jaleel White for the role, and combines a CG Sonic with live actors, including a live-action Dr. Robotnik who is even more evil than usual.There is a torture scene.The 18-minute movie is meant as "a spec film, with the primary purpose being to show how a Sonic the Hedgehog film, in a live action environment, can be executed." We think it has a very interesting take on Sonic's quills.
Full-length Mega Man fan film now showing on ScrewAttack
If you can set aside 90-some-odd-minutes during your oh-so-busy Saturday, we suggest you check out the entirety of Eddie Lebron's recently released, massive fan project: Mega Man: The Movie. Its got a level of polish we're not accustomed to seeing from most fan films -- by which we mean we can watch the entire thing without involuntarily cringing our faces off. The full movie is hosted for free over at ScrewAttack. All kidding aside, it's totally worth watching. You can really tell that a lot of hard work and love for the franchise went into the making of the film. Also, a lot of mustache pomade.
Eddie Lebron's Mega Man movie is something we'd like to see
We love Mega Man. In fact, when Mega Man 9 was announced, we ran around picking up random telephones looking for a way out of what we thought was surely The Matrix. Seriously, how could something so good happen to us? It seemed like a dream. And now, this trailer for a fan-made Mega Man movie by Eddie Lebron is along those lines. It's like the guy broke into our office windowless prison cell and picked the small lock we have on our diary. Then, he read that diary. But, in all seriousness, what is the deal with Dr. Wily's 'stache? That thing looks rabid and might need to be put down.[Via Joystiq] Guess what? We're all about Mega Man 9.
