MechWarrior Online's latest update is burning up the charts (or really anything else it comes in contact with), as the game has introduced the Firebrand version of the JagerMech for players to try out. This new hero 'mech is all about dual weapons and long-range damage. It's also water-resistant -- or at least we assume from the video. This patch includes several other little odds and ends, including a World War 2-themed Sherman tank pattern for 'mechs that want to hunker down and pretend that they're a totally innocent hill. Players also have an even larger library of trial 'mechs to test, including the Spider, Hunchback, and Atlas. You can watch the Firebrand trailer after the jump!

Perhaps the variety of trailers released by Capcom last week featuring the various new characters coming to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 simply weren't enough for you. While we can't imagine how that's possible, we can show you four more.

We've still got quite a wait ahead of us before TrackMania 2 arrives, but we can at very least sate our desire for more from the series in these first screens of TrackMania Wii. The game is said to feature the usual superabundance of tracks, and even an online mode for those of you looking to take the madness worldwide. TMW's first six screens (minus the logo you see above, of course) show off the variety of environments through which we'll be speeding when the game arrives on Wii in the "second quarter of 2010." We're quite fond of this one right here, but we're still holding out for the totally necessary "inside of a volcano" level. We can dream, no? %Gallery-83794%

  • Race Driver: GRID trailer revs up, impresses

Can the DS do "serious" racing games? As things stand, there are three such titles due this year on the handheld: Evolution GT, Trackmania DS, and Race Driver: GRID. Developer Codemasters showed off the latter earlier today, and you can color us impressed. Watch the trailer above and you'll see pure, white stallions emerging from magnificently rendered waves that this is already looking remarkably fluid -- and that's with eight cars on track at once and an array of weather effects. It's an early lead for GRID then, though there's every chance that Trackmania's vaunted track creation mode could see it pull back in front.%Gallery-15871%[Via press release]
