Namco's TGS line-up includes six PSP titles
If you regularly read this blog, then the following Namco line-up shouldn't be all that new. Namco is bringing six titles to show; these are namely: Idolmaster SP Perfect Sun, Idolmaster SP Wandering Star, Idolmaster SP Missing Moon, Macross Ace Frontier, Mobile Suit Gundam vs. Gundam and last but not least Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2. See what we mean? You've probably heard about all these before in the past few months. There doesn't seem to be any new announcements on the table -- which, we must say, is just fine. Though, it would've been way more exciting if there was some mysterious project being worked on ... something like this morning's unannounced Sony games.
Gundam vs. Gundam gets first customized PSP-3000
We knew that several new games were going to be bundled with a PSP-3000 pack in Japan, and Gundam vs. Gundam just so happens to be one of them. The interesting thing about this bundle is that the PSP-3000 has a special Gundam-themed embossing on its backside; this will be the first PSP-3000 model -- which we know of at the moment -- to feature such extra fan service. We wonder if the other Japanese bundles (Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Patapon 2 Donchaka) will also receive this boutique-style enhancement. We'll just have to wait and see.The Gundam vs. Gundam bundle will launch alongside the standalone game on November 20 in Japan. It will retail for ¥24,840 ($236.23).
Gundam vs Gundam shows robots behaving badly
Why can't robots get along? The various pilots of the dozens of Gundam series seem to be enraged -- they're all fighting each other! We have to join together and tell Namco Bandai that we won't stand up for this. This robot-on-robot bloodshed needs to stop! Wait, Gundam 00 is also in this collection? Where do we sign up? Dissidia and Patapon 2 dated, new bundles announced
SCEJ just dropped a ton of information concerning several major PSP titles for the remainder of 2008. Three huge games are now officially slated for this holiday season in Japan, and two of them are certainly games you probably won't want to miss importing. Dissidia: Final Fantasy is now set for a December 18 release, while Patapon 2 Donchaka and Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam will both be out November 27 and 20, respectively.All three games will be sold alongside bundled packs that include the new bright-screened PSP-3000. Patapon 2 Donchaka not only dons a new subtitle, but will also be available as a PS Store download for those who want to save a couple of bucks over the UMD version. This is a similar strategy as seen by Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2 and Bleach Soul Carnival. Gundam vs Gundam headed for the PSP
Want more Gundam-on-Gundam action? You've asked for it, you've got it -- at least in Japan. The arcade title Gundam vs. Gundam is headed for the PSP with some exclusive content. The 2 vs. 2 arcade fighter will feature over 30 playable units, with extra bonus ones unique to the PSP release, according to Famitsu. Other new content includes an ad-hoc mode that supports four players, tweaking of existing mechs, players profile exchange, music from the source materials and an installation option.
