The PS3 exclusive is slated to launch on PSN and in stores on June 14, 2013, and should be playable as soon as it's downloaded halfway. Grid 2 and Fuse are also available through PSN today, launching alongside their retail counterparts. Rockstar's The Warriors is also on the menu, making its PS2 Classics debut for $10. Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download a free copy of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend on PS Vita, as well as a free PS Vita music app, Imaginstruments.

Sony is preparing to localize a pair of PS Vita apps in North America this spring, Friend Network and Imaginstruments. Friend Network has been available in Japan as a free download for some time now – it's a social networking app starring PlayStation mascot Toro where players aim to recruit friends into their friend army.Imaginstruments – a free app from Europe – turns PS Vita users into amateur musicians. Through the app, you can compose original numbers and save them to the PS Vita memory card. It looks similar to the Korg DS-10.Pricing isn't mentioned in the announcement post over on the PlayStation Blog, but we can't imagine Sony wouldn't offer both of these for free, just as in their native territories. Still, the company is financing a new console right now and could use the cash.Head past the break for some footage of each app.

  • Sony promising two new PlayStation Vita apps for spring: Friend Network and Imaginstruments

Two PlayStation Vita apps from international waters are making their way to North American Vitas this Spring, Sony announced today. Both Friend Network and Imaginstruments are headed to the PlayStation Network on Vita, and neither was given a price -- each is free in its given country of origin (Japan and Europe, respectively). The former is a social networking app that encourages new relationships (with strangers! gross!) through a variety of minigames, and it stars little known PlayStation mascot Toro. You can also integrate Twitter and Facebook to find real life friends, with the ultimate goal for reaching 100. The latter is a music app that enables some light music composition; think of Imaginstruments as a pared down Korg synth. Take a look at each app in action, just beyond the jump.
