Hunter's Mark has a terrific series up that's a great resource for anyone playing this game, not just Hunters. It's called "Being a Know-it-all Without Knowing it All," and if you've ever wondered where to go, what to do, or how to make your character better, reading through the series will give you access to pretty much every tool available online to figure out what's what.None of it is really new (it's definitely not news that Wowhead and Thottbot exist), and if you read our little site frequently, you're probably very familiar with what all these resources have to offer (we're pretty thorough like that). But if you know someone who's looking for a little more insight on the game, or want a general overview of everything that's available and what each site can offer you, this is it. From the Loot Lists to Bosskillers, tons of information about everything you need to know in World of Warcraft is online, and the Know-it-all series is a great overview of what's what.[ via Mania's ]

Every Tuesday, Shifting Perspectives explores issues affecting druids and those who group with them, brought to you by Dan O'Halloran and David Bowers. Two weeks ago we had a look at how macros could make your druid lifestyle a little easier, and today we're going to look at some addons which were specially made for druids. These addons help you solve a couple problems that many druids are likely to face, helping you get at important druid information that isn't easily available in the standard interface. First is the problem of druid mana while in feral forms. It's tricky to keep track of this without any addons; you have to remember your mana in your mind while you look at your rage or energy bar and do other things. Sometimes you might shift out of a feral form to cast a heal only to find yourself without enough mana to do what you had planned. There are actually several addons which can help you with this, and we'll take a brief look at each of them so that you can choose which is best for you. The second problem has to do with comparing the best druid gear without having to shift out of World-of-Warcraft form and into Browse-the-internet-for-15-minutes form. Several addons are out there which can give you the lowdown on gear quality right in your item tooltips.

  • Ask WoW Insider: Best class loot lists?

Welcome to this week's edition of Ask WoW Insider, wherein we publish your burning questions for your fellow readers to answer. Last week we looked at how to get into role-playing, and this week we turn our attention to something near and dear to all of our hearts: loot. We've got questions in the same vein from Bodah and Cynthia, who both want to know about the best sites for class-specific loot. Bodah writes: I have a Feral Druid, and I was a happy as all get-out when you guys posted an article linking to a feral gear site that ranked all the endgame gear. One of my friends in particular, a mage, is jealous of my ability to immediately identify what loot is better for me than others. My question, then: Where do other players/classes go for that kind of detailed info? Kaliban's lists are great for finding gear, but he doesn't rank them, and one of the joys of the Druid lists was finding greens that were better for me than hard-to-get blues and purples. I have a suspicion that the same is true for other classes, as well. Cynthia mentions the same article and asks "Anything like this for rogues?" The answer to that question is Shadowpanther.net, and we want to know if there are equivalents for other classes -- where do you go for very class-specific information and ideally explicit rankings of gear for your level? Tune in next week for another episode of Ask WoW Insider, driven by your questions -- send them to us at ask AT wowinsider DOT com.
