Hold onto your cattle, folks, as Championship Bull Riding is indeed making the move to RFD-TV and RFD HD in a month. Yep, the show reportedly voted as a "#1 fan favorite" on the Outdoor Channel for three consecutive years is moseying on over to another network in March -- the same one that finally landed a carriage agreement with Comcast just last week. Apparently, the move will enable the program's hours to expand, as new episodes will premiere on Wednesday nights with repeats airing just after the debut and on Saturday nights as well. Overall, the CBR will be able to produce 32 new episodes per year on RFD HD (up from 20), and you can wrangle up your pals on March 5th at 10:00PM EST to celebrate the occasion. If you've never heard of RFD-TV (Rural Free Delivery) -- the channel that aims to "serve the needs and interests of rural America and agriculture" -- don't be shocked. Particularly if you rely on Comcast for your programming needs. Nevertheless, the boutique station has finally landed a carriage deal with the aforementioned cable company that will allow it to appear in both standard-definition and high-definition. Whether or not anyone is actually enthused about receiving RFD HD, however, is another matter entirely.

As requested, we're going "husky" on Phat Loot today, with a cool two-handed, midlevel sword that anyone can get. Plus, if you ask me, this sword has one of the best names ever. Puns FTW!Name: X'caliboarType: Rare Two-hand SwordDamage/Speed: 98-148 / 3.30 (37.3 DPS)Abilities: +20 Strength, +8 Stamina Unfortunately, that an added enchant on the pic above-- the sword doesn't glow when you get it. A decent sword for Warriors and Paladins of the level (around 35-40). The Strength is very nice, obviously, and although you'll replace it soon (just like any other weapon in the early 40s), it's good to have around if you need to do any two-hand slicing. Plus, the name rocks. Obviously it's a play on Excalibur, the legendary sword of King Arthur, but it drops from Razorfen Downs, so courtesy of Blizzard's witty item creation team, you get "X'caliboar." Funny. How to Get It: Take a trip through the aforementioned Razorfen Downs, another one of my favorite instances in the game (I especially like the Undead rave going on in there). Ragglesnout drops it, and he's a rare spawn that appears near that rave (in one of the huts on the spiral). Apparently he is pretty rare, so if you really want to the sword, you may have to restart the instance a few times to see if you can get him, and then just hope the sword drops-- it's seen at about 20% which isn't bad, but when you factor in the chance that Ragglesnout appears, it's a little more rare than that.He has a couple of other good drops for a Warrior, too-- a shield and a belt that are fairly nice. But this sword is the jewel of the bunch-- get in there, hope he spawns, down him, and maybe you too can have the chance to run around Orgrimmar or Stormwind yelling "I WIELD X'CALIBOAR! BOW DOWN TO YOUR KING!"Err.. maybe that's just what I'd do.Getting Rid of It: Disenchants into a Small Radiant Shard, and sells to vendors for 2g 1s 44c.

  • Level tweaking on instances 1-60 in patch 2.3

Hopefully you were just as excited as I was yesterday to see that specifics about leveling improvements have been announced, as well as about 60 brand new midlevel quests (!) in Dustwallow Marsh. And as we heard, low level dungeons are getting tweaked, too, though not in any way I would have imagined. Blizzard, it sounds like, is going to be streamlining them, changing them from (for example with Shadowfang Keep) a 18-25 level dungeon, to an 18-21.But waitaminute-- we've already got dungeons from 18-21. Wailing Caverns and Deadmines, specifically, and moving SFK up to 21 leaves a hole before Stockades and Blackfathom Deeps. What gives? What gives, says Bornakk, is that Blizzard is streamlining the whole experience, which means all the instances are going to be given this same tweaking. BFD, Stockades, RFK, Gnomer (ooh, interesting) are all going to be streamlined to be finished before 30, where, Bornakk says, Scarlet Monastery, RFD, and Uldaman will await characters. In essence it sounds like the clumps of leveling 1-60 are getting evened out, and that big hole around the mid 30s (where STV is your only choice) is getting filled in.Sounds great to me. I'm especially excited about Dustwallow Marsh-- I have three or four characters languishing in their mid 30s, so new quests there will be much appreciated. And Blizzard is always watching how we play-- if new content in the 30s is as popular as I suspect it will be, maybe they can consider adding in even more midlevel content for alts and newbies.

It's a bit hard to make out in this thumbnail version, but this shot was taken by Daktari of Gurubashi in Razorfen Downs. Ahead of us, perched atop that rather large pile of bones, is Mordresh Fire Eye, and scattered around him are numerous skeletons, all of them dancing madly. In and of itself, it's a sight worth visiting Razorfen at least once to see...Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world?
