Capcom held a special event today to show off upcoming titles, and here's part of what made it so special: the unveiling of three new characters for their blazing hot, currently-Japan-only fighting game Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. One of whom is Viewtiful Joe, seen here punching the kid from Onimusha in the junk. Joe happens to be the perfect Capcom character for this game. He's a parody of exactly the kind of superhero characters that make up most of the Tatsunoko lineup! Also, he's really awesome. The other new Capcom character is Saki from Quiz Nanairo DREAMS, who previously appeared as a "partner" in Marvel vs. Capcom, and now makes her debut as a playable character. On the Tatsunoko side, Ippatsuman has been added to the roster. %Gallery-32421%

Saki Mobile, the kinda-sorta MVNO that also distributes its content through a Windows Mobile application, has teamed up with independent "digital record label" INgrooves to offer users what they're calling a "wireless digital music community." INgroove, which represents such artists as Nappy Roots and Thievery Corporation, will offer their musicians' songs, bios, pictures, ringtones, etc., etc., along with supposed "direct access" to the bands themselves through a messaging service. Furthermore, subscribers can communicate amongst one another using Saki's IM client, chatting and sending around concert info and band updates, along with all the great swag that they've downloaded. So you want to start an MVNO, but you're not quite ready to buy up a few million minutes and pay for a few branded phones. We understand, and so does Saki mobile, which is offering a set of core MVNO-ish services such as IM, an RSS reader, social networking, and push email that can be purchased on its own, or branded to your company's every whim. They can even develop specific services for your company, such as the movie times and reviews that the Saki-powered Cinemark Wireless offers. Saki isn't really an MVNO at all, since they merely provide Windows Mobile software, and allow you to pick whichever carrier you want, though they do seem to have some dealings with T-Mobile. That means you'll be dealing with everyday carrier woes, stuff that MVNOs like Helio hope to alleviate, but it also means you won't be paying an MVNO markup on your minutes, just the $10 a month fee for the Saki service. If this all sounds good to you, they're currently offering a T-Mobile MDA for $99 with service, after a couple of hefty rebates.
