Jeff Kaplan, the lead game designer, posted in the forums under his username Tigole that Blizzard will be speeding up leveling in the 60 to 70 bracket just as they sped up the 20 to 60 bracket. This has long been rumored and it's great to see this get implemented.Initial reports tell us the amount of experience points necessary to progress to each level has been decreased by 30% (for the 60 to 70 range only). Additional posters are reporting that mobs which give 500xp on the live server are now giving 600xp on the beta server. There doesn't seem to be any increase in the XP rewarded by quests yet, but this might be a future change.Kaplan asks everyone to provide feedback on the change (if you're in the beta), and it looks like they've got his ear for the time being. So if you're in the beta and want to weigh in on the subject, now's the time. Many thanks to the various users who submitted this news tip.

The first entry for Nintendo's Short Cuts Showcase contest has hit You Tube and, as one might expect, it centers around a certain lad with a fondness for the color green. Hopefully, this will give you a better idea of what Nintendo is exactly looking for and improve your chances at acquiring that wonderful prize of $10,000 USD. Wonder how much that would be in Rupees?Video has been embedded past the break.

Nintendo is giving all of you auteurs a chance at some exposure, cash, and Nintendo swag, and all you have to do in return is mess around with a camera. They're asking for entries for their Short Cuts Showcase, to be shown at the Top of the Rock in New York City's Rockefeller Center. To enter, make a three-to-five minute film that includes something Nintendo-related and submit it on CD or DVD by June 6. If you're not up for the Elite Beat Agents theme, may we suggest a courtroom drama? Also, if you happen to have DS Fanboy open in the background of your movie at some point, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Johnny, tell them what they'll win after the break!

Bathroom gaming has been a popular pastime for as long as handheld consoles have been around. We like to imagine that even before our age of technology, kids spent their lavatory leisure time playing ball-in-a-cup or some other antiquated equivalent. That's how far back this honorable tradition goes.As Infendo Radio host Scott Johnson can tell you, however, bathroom gaming does not come without its hazards. It's easy for things to go wrong while multi-tasking, but when you're sitting on the toilet is one of the worst times that can happen. Johnson has an entertaining, animated short describing his woeful experience. The Flash cartoon also serves as a warning to all you extreme bathroom gamers out there: playing New Super Mario Bros. in the work washroom might be fun, but if you aren't careful, it can quickly turn into a commode catastrophe.

Four of them are slated for release September 19, with five more to follow October 17th. They also indicate all the movies will feature advanced menu and navigational features accessible while the movie is playing, and that most will carry an MSRP of $34.99. Jumping on the mobile TV bandwagon, kid's channel Nick Jr. has debuted three new "mini pilots" on wireless carriers, ahead of launching them on Nick Jr.'s broadband video service and the channel itself. The three pilots include Pass the Pinha, Jinny Starfly and All Aboard, all developed by Nick Jr.'s Institute of Applied Play, and run between one to three minutes each. Unfortunately, Nick Jr. wasn't kind enough to say which carriers would actually be carrying the pilots.[Via MocoNews]
