This anonymous player (the poultry, not the Gnome) was questing at Toshley's Station in Blades Edge Mountains when he got hit with the transporter debuff. He decided to take advantage of it and down a few Noggenfoggers and popped his Cloak of Shadows. And viola! Super shadow mini-chicken of death.Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? Because we'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next! Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing. And please, no more sunsets. This means you. I'm not kidding, yours is not the exception. No, really. Sigh.%Gallery-1816%

  • Why Gnomes (supposedly) rock

I can't say I agree with the premise of this post that reader Syp wrote and sent to us (I'm Horde to the core, so for me, Gnomes only rock when eaten with a side of fries and Horde soda), but I can't really argue with most of his points. He sets out 10 reasons why Gnomes rock, and I have no doubt that they're sure to inspire lots of cross-faction discussion.I do have to admit-- the Gnome mount is one of my favorites, and engineering has gotten to be lots of fun. Escape Artist is an excellent ability (especially since it went instant a little while ago), and I have missed out on the fun that I hear is Toshley's Station-- I'm trying to work my little Gnome Warrior up to the mid-60s so I can get in on the Star Wars references, too.But I do take issue with Syp's "underdog" and "conformity" points. If you really want to play a race/gender that doesn't get a lot of love, try a Dwarf Female.

For today's Around Azeroth, we're treated to a spectacular view of Blade's Edge Mountains and the Big Red Flying Machine! As Tuscansalami from Whisperwind tells us:In the spirit of BRK, I give you the next best thing -- the Big Red Flying Machine! And no, that's not Bestial Wrath - it's one of the side-effects from the Ultrasafe Transporter: Toshley's Station in which you get the cosmetic debuff Soul Split: Evil!, making you big, red and transparent -- kind of like a shadow priest, but more mean looking. So whilst jaunting through Blade's Edge Mountains on the way to Orgrila, I managed to find a nice background vista to show off the very infrequently seen effects. Additionally, the sparks are from my season 2arena shoulders and I suspect that the electrical interference from them is why my the motor keeps on cutting out and spluttering when hovering in place all the time... :)Big Red Flying Machine? We're sensing an engineering tips & tricks blog. Let us know when that's up; we're there! In the meantime, if you have any fabulous screenshots from your daily adventures in Azeroth, send them to us at aroundazeroth@wow.com. Your screenshot could be featured in an upcoming Around Azeroth! %Gallery-1816%
