It's only been a year since Vivo and Oppo kicked off the all-screen, notch-less smartphone race, and now, the latter is literally pushing the boundaries with a new type of curved display. Earlier today, Oppo showed off a prototype device packing a "waterfall screen," which features an aggressive 88-degree fold on both the left and right sides. When viewed directly from the front, the bezels are practically invisible, which gives the device an even more premium look than today's curved-screen phones -- namely Oppo's very own Find X.

  • CCP Games boosts productivity with agile development

When CCP Games developed the Apocrypha expansion for EVE Online, it wasn't only the first time that all three studios -- Atlanta, Reykjavik, and Shanghai -- worked in concert on single project, they also created the game's largest expansion to date in record time. EVE Online's lead designer Noah Ward recently explained how CCP was able to accomplish this in an interview with Gamasutra's Christian Nutt and Chris Remo. The company switched from its waterfall development model to agile methods where the game was developed through the collaboration of small teams that showcase their progress to the rest of the developers frequently. Ward says, "Now that we've switched over, we don't have these huge waterfall phases anymore, it's just iterative, agile two week sprints, and we have a demo day at the end [...] and it's just amazing to see how much is actually produced in those two weeks."

Player Cosmokramer of the Vanquish guild on Kul Tiras realm was slogging through the fens of Zangarmarsh when he spied this waterfall. Being a gnome, he knew it he had to take his opportunities to bathe where he could get them. Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? Because we'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next! Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing. And please, no more sunsets. This means you. I'm not kidding, yours is not the exception. No, really. Sigh.%Gallery-1816%

Reader Michael sends in this shot taken in the lush landscape of Feralas. And though you may be inclined tot take this for just another waterfall, Michael points out an interesting detail: the water splashes off the rocks as it falls. Is this a recent addition, or just something we've never bothered to pay attention to before? Either way, lovely! In what is becoming a continuing series of waterfall-related posts, I bring you The Nagrand Falls, just outside Shattrath City, courtesy of Dibbs on Shadowsong (EU). And regardless of where the water may or may not be coming from, it's a lovely shot of some of the amazing scenery to be found in Outland.Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth or Outland that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? You may recall recently seeing an Around Azeroth post featuring a screenshot of one of the many floating islands in Nagrand (and Outland in general), this one with a waterfall falling gracefully over the sides. I wondered, at the time, where the water was coming from to create this never-ending waterfall. Today, reader Fanny of Twisting Nether sends in a shot taken from Stranglethorn Vale, near Booty Bay, showing where water within Azeroth comes from -- out of thin air! I've got to say this explains everything... if Azerothian waterfalls can come from nowhere, why should Outland waterfalls be any different?Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth or Outland that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? Around Azeroth has looked at plenty of waterfalls before. And why not? They tend to be scenic views wherever in the World of Warcraft they come from. However, the waterfall we're looking at today is a bit different from any we've looked at before -- because unlike the ordinary waterfalls of Azeroth, this one has no apparent source of water. After all, a stream can hardly flow to an island floating in mid-air, can it? So where's that water coming from? Reader Boterham of Drek'Thar (EU), who sent us this shot, wonders too. Anyone in the audience care to take a stab at guessing how the Outland ecosystem works?Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth or Outland that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? • Thinking about a new flat-screen - check out this one

Everyone wants one of those decorative waterfalls in their house, right? Everyone wants as flat-screen too, right? Why not put 'em together and a have a plasma behind a waterfall? Sounds good to us but somehow we just don't think this PDP is meant for average home user but rather for the lobby of your local credit union or used car dealership. The set is lacking any sort of tuner but that can easily rectified with a cable or satellite box but we still think a computer is going to be hooked up to flash a logo along with a random news ticker. Even still, you could pick up one and slap it in your living room before the wife gets home - snap a pic of her expression would ya? They are available at an undisclosed price and range from 42- to 60-inches.

  • Around Azeroth: Waterfall in the Wetlands

Reader Robert sends in this shot of an impressive waterfall flowing into the Wetlands. When taking a gryphon towards the Wetlands, you'll often get a good shot of this one, and the Stonewrought Dam (an impressive site that cannot properly be seen from land) above it, while flying overhead. I may be mistaken, but I want to say this is the largest waterfall in Azeroth -- though you're welcome to contradict me if I'm forgetting one!Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth or Outland that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world?
