Wii U games cost $59.99, Wii U Pro Controller priced at $49.99
Though Nintendo didn't announce any pricing details for games or the Wii U Pro Controller during its briefing this morning, word comes Nintendo will follow established pricing models for the two. First, Wii U games will see a $10 increase compared to their Wii brethren, and will cost $59.99 at retail, Kotaku reports. Here's the list of launch games available during the Wii U's launch window, which runs from console launch on November 18 until March 2013.As for the Wii U Pro Controller, Nintendo's solution for more traditional controller-minded gamers, that'll cost a cool $49.99, Nintendo confirmed with Polygon. The dual-analog controller will be available alongside the Wii U when it launches in North America on November 18.
Let's look really closely at Nintendo's Wii U
Nintendo showed dozens of games during E3 2012, and gave attendees a second hands-on with near-final Wii U hardware. We covered the company extensively, but we couldn't resist an invitation to get a quiet, private demonstration of the console during a New York City event this week.What's more, Nintendo was showing off more than just the WiiPad (what we're calling the Wii U's tablet controller) – a Nintendo rep gave us a thorough look at the console itself. As she points out in the video, neither the Wii U console nor the WiiPad are final hardware, so if you see some funky looking metal sticking out from the back of the system, know that it won't be there when the units arrive at your local brick-and-mortar.We also got a chance to check out the Wii U Pro Controller (otherwise known as "the Nintendo-born child of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers"), and to see how it works with the gorgeous Rayman Legends. Normally, one player mans the WiiPad while the other navigates with the Pro Controller, but somebody had to hold the microphone, so the rep was forced to do both himself. Engadget goes hands-on with Wii U's Pro Controller
Our friends at Engadget are kinda way, way into tech. Perhaps you didn't know (you probably did). Anyway, they got their hands on Nintendo's Wii U Pro Controller this week and they've got this handy video above with their impressions. Spoilers: it's kinda similar to an Xbox 360 controller. Shock!

Although we managed to get our mitts on the Wii U and updated GamePad here at E3 following Nintendo's keynote, the recently unveiled Pro Controller turned out to be harder to find. We were thankfully able to visit the company's amusement park massive booth on the show floor where we discovered the wireless peripheral, along with a GamePad, tethered to a demo of the upcoming title, Rayman Legends. Nintendo teases Wii U Pro Controller, black Wii U hardware (update: video)
Aside from officially detailing tweaks to its Wii U Gamepad today, Nintendo has announced a secondary controller for those who'd prefer a more traditional control method. Dubbed as the Pro Controller, the wireless peripheral has a remarkably similar shape and button layout to what comes standard with the Xbox 360 -- albeit with a duo a of evenly-placed joysticks and Nintendo-focused function buttons. You'll also notice that it's the first Wii U accessory to be colored in black, rather the white we've become accustomed to. It doesn't stop there either. While showing more video of how the Gamepad functions, it and the Wii U were also shown in the murdered-out hue for the first time -- eye pleasing to say the least. There's not word on pricing for the Pro Controller or whether the system will be released in both black and white just yet, but we'll be sure to bring you more details from the show floor at E3 when we have them. Wii U 'Pro Controller' unveiled, looks awfully familiar
Beyond the WiiPad's big unveiling during Nintendo's pre-E3 presentation this afternoon, president Satoru Iwata also briefly showed off the Wii U "Pro" controller. As you might imagine, it looks awfully similar to the Wii's "Pro" controller, not to mention the Xbox 360 controller we've all gotten so used to.
