Each day, WoW Insider takes you through all the blue posts and other Blizzard news from around the internet. From the latest posts from Ghostcrawler (lead systems designer) to the lowdown on StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3, we'll keep you informed. Today there are a couple blue posts, but nothing earth-shattering. Remember that a lot of the blues are probably on vacation already, and this week tends to be kind of slow, historically. If there's not a lot of blue news tomorrow, we probably won't run The Daily Blues and instead save everything for Friday or Saturday.

Each day WoW.com will take you through all the blue posts and other Blizzard news from around the internet. From Ghostcrawler's latest posts to the lowdown on StarCraft II and Diablo III, we'll keep you informed. We haven't posted The Daily Blues this week because the blues have been so quiet, obviously working hard on Cataclysm and related content. But today is something special -- the birthday of Zarhym, who turns 29. So happy birthday to our blue-tinted friend, may all your drops be epic. Go wish him a happy birthday. We reported this weekend on Ghostcrawler's self-imposed break from the forums. The response by the majority of the so-called mature fans was quite negative. Many were furious, and rightfully so in my opinion. It appeared that a key source of information for the community was taking leave. Right on the cusp of the Cataclysm alpha/beta, this would have been a terrible time for that to occur. We'd likely be in the dark about changes until they were discovered on the beta/PTR, and even then there would be little to no definitive philosophical discussion about the reasons behind the new content.Ghostcrawler was apparently touched by the fan support, which you can see both in our post and the forum thread in the role forums. He's come back out and said that he will only be responding to topics he wants, rather than allowing clamoring forum-goers to push him into responding (or not responding). This has been evident lately in the Shadow Priest QQ going on. When he doesn't respond to what is clearly inappropriate discourse, people get really angry. They think Blizzard is ignoring them, which isn't the case. The role forums are about discussion between players with Ghostcrawler occasionally appearing to offer some insight. Designers read everything on those forums, blue tagged or not.His exact words, after the break.

  • Is it Thursday yet?

Here at WoW Insider we pay pretty close attention to what the blues say. They often come out with the latest information on what's happening behind the scenes at Blizzard. Blues, overall, have a lot of power over the game and the forums. Some can outright ban you, refund your items, or do whatever else their GM/Community Manager powers let them. Yesterday however Zarhym revealed a new power. The power of time control."Is it Thursday yet?" some forum poster asks."Yes!" replies Zarhym.Taking back what he said he soon replies, "Update: I'm being told this is not correct. Sorry :(" The deflated moans of millions of nerds around the word can be heard. For a fleeting moment it appeared that Zarhym used his power of time control for good.Nethaera eventually jumps in to put a freeze on overly ambitious Zarhym. Apologizing outright for the confusion, she insists that Thursday will be coming soon. But then something amazing happens. Something so brilliant, so revolutionary, so game changing that it will shake the world! The blues figure out the secret to time travel!
