How many times have we complained about the (lack of) wireless range in our home networks? QuickerTek may just have a solution to stop our whining in its Mac mini Wireless Networking Antenna. The 27 dBm Transceiver device pumps out a whopping 500 milliwatts' worth of RF power versus Airport's native 30 milliwatts, which can theoretically extend the wireless range of your Mac mini up to a mile — which should just about finally cover the massive office empire that is Engadget (yeah…). The antenna is specifically designed to affix to the top cover of the Mac mini, but will work with any system sporting Airport Extreme. Of course, at $180 a pop it does tack a fairly hefty percentage of the Mac mini's base price on to your system purchase, which could just end up replacing one form of whining for another.
