Mediabolic's Linux-based Network Media Player
Metabolic Inc. showed off its Network Media Player (NMP) at the DEMO conference yesterday. The NMP is a wireless Linux-based system that lets you view just about any type of media on PC on your TV. The system also has DVI, Component, and HDMI (HDMI!) connections, so all that content should look spiffy on your big screen plasma. The NMP is just a reference design, however, so you won't be seeing it on store shelves any time soon, but other manufacturer's units based on the design should be available by the end of the year.
