Etch-a-Sketch comes to cellphones

etch a sketch

We used to dig playing with the old Etch-a-Sketch, trying to come up with a drawing that wasn't all right angles and squares. But there's only so much room in that gadget bag, and given that an Etch-a-Sketch is around the same size as a small laptop, guess what gets left out? But we can still get our sketch on, if we sign up with the U.K.'s Orange and download the cellphone version of the game. Best touch: when you hit the 0 button to erase your drawing, your phone starts vibrating, in homage to the classic routine of shaking the Etch-a-Sketch to erase. Worst limitation: somehow, we just don't see a cellphone keypad capturing the challenge and frustration of drawing with those two little knobs.
